  • "Great location, very tastefully decorated and furnished, well equipped and comfortable."

Wi-Fi a bit unreliable but what can you expect in the middle of nowhere on Skye! Directions were a little tricky to follow at the end as the blue Lochview sign can’t be seen from the road but Google maps got us there. All in all, a fabulous week on a stunning island in a beautiful cottage

  • "My feed back is in their visitors book."

It’s our third visit to the cottage because of its position on Skye and its facilities. I don’t know what Sykes Cottages charge for their services but, it will be too much.

  • "For two weeks my daughter and I enjoyed this little slice of heaven."

We always looked forward to returning to base after we had been out exploring. The cottage is solid, even in high winds. It is located in an area of great beauty, complete with hungry birds to watch. The hosts were handy but not intrusive. The place truly earned its five stars from me.

Also very well located for travelling around Skye. On our arrival, the owners had provided us with some goodies which was also a very nice touch.

  • "Superb location and everything we needed was available in the cottage."

Flowers, biscuits and chocolates were a nice touch. We could not get the Nespresso machine to work but that was probably the user and not the kit! we could not find a toast rack. Sykes got the landline number wrong and I had to text the owner to confirm arrangements for entry to the property.

The cottage was really spacious with a kitchen full of loads of equipment! The heating was quick and efficient. The bed was comfy and there were two bathrooms with all you’d need!

Comfortable and Relaxing place. Can recommend. Directions from Sykes were incorrect and mobile number also wrong! It should be turn left into bernisdale park then RIGHT and then left.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday on Skye."

What an amazing place . Every day the sun shone and we visited the most magical places on the island . The cottage was just great . It was a great base to go out from every day to explore the island . So comfortable and had everything you needed . The owners were very helpful and when we said the oven wasn’t working a new one appeared miraculously the next day. The views of the loch from our cottage were just fabulous to wake up to every day and return home to every night. Portree is a lovely place and we had a super meal in the Cuillin Hills Hotel on are last night on Skye. This cottage is definitely the place to stay if your coming to Skye , couldn’t recommend it enough. We loved Skye . Hope we can return again one day .

  • "Very comfortable cottage with everything you need apart from a phone signal!"

There was an error in the directions to the cottage, we believe after you turn right at the Bernisdale Park sign, the next turn is left not right as in the directions we had and then another right turn towards the cottage.

  • "A beautiful, spacious cottage in a peaceful location, with stunning views and lots of birdlife."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The first two days we had gales and pouring rain, the Scrabble provided came in useful then! The rest of the week was warm and sunny, although very windy at times. A holiday on Skye can involve a lot of driving, distances are considerable. Yes, we would go back!
