Heisgeir is a luxury purpose-built, studio style pod located in Sollas the north of the Isle of North Uist. Boasting spectacular countryside views, this remote property sleeps two and allows parking for one car; the ideal secluded, romantic hideaway, with only a 15 minutes walk to the closest Sollas beach Step into a compact, open-plan living space where you’ll find a living/diner with a plush, leather sofa to sink into as you watch your favourite show on the Smart TV, a small dining table set for two for your dinner dates, and a fully-equipped kitchenette where you can wow your partner with your culinary skills.

After a busy day out, enjoy a steaming shower, making sure to use the heated towel rail on especially cold days, and plunge into the double bed to catch your rest. If you’re travelling during autumn and winter, bundle yourself up in your coat and scarf, and sit outside on the furnished desk to marvel at the colourful northern lights dancing across the black sky.

You’re ideally placed in Sollas, a popular destination on the Isle of North Uist, known for its amazing sand beaches that run almost the length of the north of the island; one area is large enough to be utilised as a landing strip for small planes!

You can find a local Co-op, where you can stock up on some essentials, just a stone’s throw from the property.

The Hebridean Way passes the property, making this the perfect base for walkers, cyclists and explorers.

On the Isle of Uist, you will find some cultural landmarks, such as St Kilda viewing point and Hut of the Shadow, dotted around the picture-perfect scenery.

For more of an educational day out, head to Lochmaddy for an afternoon of exploring Old Lochmaddy School and the Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum & Arts Centre.
