  • "We enjoyed our stay, the house is clean and comfortable."

Kitchen equipment good, except an oven glove would be useful, but apart from salt and pepper you need to take all basics with you, eg kitchen roll, foil, cling film etc. Not really a criticism, I know different companies and properties have different policies, but it might be helpful to others to know in advance. A couple of extra chairs upstairs for clothes would be useful, there is currently nothing for this purpose.

  • "We loved everything about Church View cottage it was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay."

Great kitchen for the five of us to eat and a relaxing living room to watch movies together.Beds were comfortable and having an en-suite in master bedroom and a separate main bathroom mean't two families could stay here easily. The location for getting around the island was perfect.

  • "Lovely property that is well situated for exploring the island."

Quiet, pleasant village. Well equipped, comfortable house. Toiletries in the main bathroom was a nice touch. Clear information available for bins, washing machine etc. Local shop well stocked. On departure spoke to property owner about a couple of minor issues which he welcomed hearing about & assured would be rectified.

  • "Lovely spacious house, very clean and great location."

Enjoyed our stay very much and would have scored 5 stars across the board with a few inexpensive additions eg. salt & pepper pots, additional place mats and a few more kitchen utensils, but this didn't detract from our enjoyable stay. Thanks for a great holiday accommodation

  • "Clearly this is a very new holiday let and there are a number of snagging issues."

Eg. the locks on both the downstairs loo and upstairs bathroom do not work - and let to a very embarrassing walk in on an elderly lady n the middle of the night! The levers to operate he showers are incredibly stiff and meant that I had to operate them ahead of my two friends wanting to shower - and I had problems getting the right hand levers in particular to move; We had assumed that there would be spare toilet rolls provided - have never stayed anywhere where they weren't. The bath and shower need either non-slip surfaces or a rubber non-slip at. I almost laid my length coming out of the shower. There is o hanging space in the third bedroom - as we were three friends rather than a family, this was an issue. We had no idea how to work the turntable for the car and there were no instructions apart from being told it is manual. For two ladies and a man in their late seventies and eighties it was a no-go. I think that it is more suited to a family than a group of friends, especially if older. That said, it is in a lovely setting and certainly converted us to the Isle of Wight.

Thank you for your feedback. The lock on the downstairs toilet does work, the upstairs one was tricky, but was immediately fixed once it came to our attention. The other issues you mentioned would have been sorted immediately if you had reported them, you had my number. Regarding toilet rolls, it is self catering and adequate was provided to start you off. Hangers are behind the door in the third bedroom. The instructions for the turntable are in the information pack, and it is optional to use. Once again, if you had brought any issues to our notice, they would have been rectified immediately. No other guests have raised any of the issues you mentioned in the past. If it really was an issue, you should have brought it to our attention sooner and given us the opportunity to rectify. Property Owner
