Freshwater is situated at the western tip of the Isle of Wight and consists of a main town and Freshwater Bay. The town offers a good selection of quaint shops, while the white cliffs, rolling downland and delightful beaches at Freshwater Bay attract visitors all year round. The renowned Freshwater Bay Golf Club, which overlooks the English Channel, offers a superb day out for golfers of all abilities, while the area is a haven for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers, with many wonderful walks to be enjoyed over the Afton and Tennyson Downs. Visit the Dimbola Photographic Museum in Freshwater Bay, Needles Pleasure Park with its coloured sand cliffs, or, a little further afield, the premier yachting centre of Cowes. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, radio, WiFi, selection of books, DVDs and games. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent (please bring own beach towels) Cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Private garden with far-reaching views, furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 1.2 miles, pub 1 mile, beach 10 mins walk. Note: Dogs must be kept on a lead around the property due to horses in neighbouring riding stables.

The cottage was just as we'd hoped; clean, warm and cosy. The owners were friendly and helpful and our children particularly enjoyed the horses and dogs' puppies. Would definitely go back for a return visit.
