  • "Have stayed in Riverside on a few occasions, last time 2020, standard as good as before and delighted to return."

Very minor request would be a sharp knife though this did not affect our stay! It was a lovely touch to have milk, tea and coffee, crisps, jam and cake provided. Thank you

  • "Home from home, looking forward to our return trip this year."

Decorated beautifully at Christmas with an added bonus of a hamper. The icing on the cake was your own parking space however we didn’t use our car as you are only a couple of minutes away from the centre.

  • "Fabulous place and mostly great."

...however....some things need replacing now. We've stayed here many times and appreciate that things that started off comfortable will deteriorate with the constant use they get. So, just as helpful feedback, the river side bed mattress no longer has good support, nor does the sofa if you're in for the evening. Kitchen facilities work well for self catering and new frying pans would be helpful. The Shark vacuum was very useful to enhance floor and sofa clean-up when we arrived....better not to have needed it of course. Lovely place to come back to after superb walking in the area and great views across the river to Fitz park and the fells beyond. Parking is a real bonus, thanks.

  • "This is such a lovely, comfortable apartment with a great view."

The welcome pack is a smashing treat at the start of a holiday and very much appreciated. Only two points to raise: A non slip shower mat would be useful (we bought one and left it behind so it can hopefully be washed and used by future guests), and the kitchen is a bit lacking utensil-wise. A set of sharp knives would be a great addition plus some kitchen scissors, a fish slice and a draining spoon. We reckon that’s all that’s needed to make it perfect - and we’ll definitely be coming back.

Kitchen was equipped extremely well. As I have only stayed in self catering properties in the past 15 years, this compliment is huge coming from me.

Immacukately clean, well equipped and spacious. Two good sized bedrooms, each with own bathroom and king sized beds. Although we didn't have a dog with us it is dog friendly.

The new decor and look has really lifted what was becoming a little tired. Excellent facilities with a great location plus dedicated parking in the middle of Keswick, what’s not to like. Highly recommended.

  • "Excellent stay in a lovely apartment."

Warm, clean and a great location easy walking distance to Keswick centre. Literally a 5min walk. Also 5 mins the other way and you are picking up one of the many local trails. Lovely view over the river and Fitz Park from the lounge area. Would recommend and we will book again in future.

  • "I do like these apartments and have stayed in others, however I did have an issue with the internet in this apartment, it would work in living room but not in bedrooms."

The apartment is looking a bit tired too, blinds didn’t work etc, just need a bit of updating I feel. No bin bags and a few items missing in kitchen for cooking. No instructions to use oven and microwave apart from booklets, one of which wasn’t in English. No TVs in bedrooms which I would have liked and very few channels on main TV. I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t return but there are other properties now more modernised and with better facilities for the same price bracket so I would look around. Property owner was ok in dealing with issues, did resolve or try to resolve them.

  • "The apartment is lovely and very well equipped."

Everything was spotless. The only negative is the parking. We had difficulty getting into our allotted space due to the people in apartment 3 having to park sideways on due to the bins. The bins were overflowing because the refuse collectors couldn’t get access because of how the cars were parked. An idea would be to pay for a permit for apartment 3.

  • "Second trip to this apartment."

.Top location within the town. Spacious yet cosy. Nice open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area Car parking a huge advantage in an expensive public car park area. One little point of annoyance however was that I found that the microwave was out of action early the previous week but we had to wait till Monday evening till a replacement arrived. Disappointing but not a deal breaker.

  • "The location of the apartment was excellent with lovely views along the river and over the park."

In general, the standard of the accommodation was good and the apartment was clean and cosy, but there were a few issues we encountered which were disappointing and need to be resolved - the microwave wasn't working and, despite reporting it, this wasn't fixed during our stay; there is a good quality Nespresso coffee machine but you cannot buy the pods for it in Keswick so it was unusable; there was no cutlery basket in the dishwasher; one of the kitchen cupboard doors was broken; the pans were poor quality; the en-suite bedroom had a damp/musty smell and the shower tray was marked and discoloured. We reported these issues directly to Heart of the Lakes early on in our stay and hope they are addressed for future guests. Our other issue was that, as we were 2 couples holidaying together, there were no parking permits available for our second car. We had been told that it was possible to buy a weekly pass at the nearby car park but this proved not to be the case and the 24 hour day rate to park there was £11.60 per day which we felt was an expensive additional cost given the cost of the apartment.

  • "We've been to this spacious, well equipped apartment several years running."

It's in a great setting in Keswick with lovely views across the river and park. Sadly now, some elements could clearly do with a refresh to maintain the former standard.
