    • “The Friendly Room was just that. We felt welcome and warm after some wet walks in the hills. A marvellous walking centre for Ingleborough area with fine walks starting from the front door without using a car. The owners are discreet and friendly offering a cream tea welcome and all the local advice you need. The studio room is practical and stylish - the oven is a complete microwave/grill/convection appliance - much better than the advertising suggests! Perfect for a romantic stay.”

    • “We had a lovely long weekend in this perfectly appointed studio accomodation. An ideal location for walking from the door, and in a great village location with everything you could need. Including a fabulous "gastro" pub.”

    • “Good Base for Three Peaks Country”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “The Friendly Room is a studio apartment of above average quality well suited for a couple. The interior is quite modern with plenty of light and room. The location is just off the main road through the village, but as the village is itself off the a65, it remains pretty quiet all the time. Austwick is well situated for walks in Three Peaks country either straight from the cottage, or as a base for other places such as Settle, Horton, Clapham, and Ingleton. There is a pub and general store in the village, and a restaurant across the road. A walk of a mile takes you to a super café/bistro in the hamlet of Feizor. I would recommend this property to a couple who enjoy walking and wish to explore the area.”

    • “Although it is literally one room, this accommmodation has been extremely well designed. The bespoke kitchen has everything you need in a compact space and the living/bedroom area is very comfortable. The village is unspoilt with a shop, pub and hotel/restaurant and there are lovely walks from the door.”
