"Wow what a place."
A real home from home. It is in a terrific location very quiet and secluded but only 5 minutes drive from Windermere. The apartment is immaculate. It is well equipped, the owners have thought of very eventuality. We will be back!

"We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Wood."
A lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean and tidy in a quiet location just outside Windermere. The bed was particularly comfy and our dog was very grateful for the treats that were left for him, such a nice touch ! We were really impressed with the bathrooms and has given us ideas for when we update our own back home !

"Deer Wood is a lovely apartment in a great location."
We have stayed here on a number of occasions because we find it so welcoming and comfortable. This stay we did feel bedroom carpet and sofa were beginning to need professional clean or upgrading. That said it didn’t stop us from having a great break.

"Absolutely perfect, beds were very very comfortable as were the pillows, amazing location and so close to Windermere, it was February so very cold but on a nice day you could probably walk into Windermere ."

"A great stay thank you, beautiful spot."
Close to facilities and really easy to get out and up into the fells and hills.
The twin bedroom heater was not turned on for the duration of the week, which meant the room was really cold, not sure if this is broken or just purposefully turned off.
The apartment felt overall clean and comfortable however the kitchen floor wasn’t as clean as it could have been for example we spilt something on the floor and cleaned it up and realised the cloth was rather dirty not from the spillage.
The apartment has everything we needed and very much enjoyed our stay thank you.

"Gorgeous property/apartment, lovely setting, and great location."
Would be great if landlord installed some slow car chargers (or even 13Amp outdoor sockets as cheaper) near parking bays for car charging at night), and there are ways to check how much usage and charge for it, fairly.

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Deer Wood."
The apartment is stunning and in the most beautiful location. Perfect for exploring the lakes. We particularly loved having the walk to Orrest Head on our doorstep, such wonderful views and driving back to see deers grazing in the field each day. It was lovely to have the large grass area in front of the hall for the children to play on. The apartment was spotless and provided everything we needed for an amazing stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

"Lovely apartment in a beautiful setting."
We felt very comfortable during our stay. Nice to have the outside verandah and decking area too - ideal with our four-legged family member.
Ideal location for exploring The Lakes, and great to be able to do walks from the property without having to get into the car. We hope to return sometime.

"Our recent holiday at Deer wood was fantastic."
Beautiful location, so peaceful.
Very well equipped and scrupulously clean .
Only one thing I would say that is missing is a small fence on the back to join up with the railing , then pouches can wander out on to the back with out out fear of falling or wandering off and having to be on a lead when sat outside.
We have booked again for later on in the year

Beautiful furnishings to a high standard. Lovely thought to decorate a Christmas tree & provide a bottle of bubbly & biscuits loved the special thought to provide a basket of goodies for our dog. "The holiday cottage was a home away from home."
Absolutely beautiful and an affordable price in 2021. Real luxury for us four. We would come back if price is right. Only a note the heater in diner lounge never came on and it got quite cold last few nights we were there but lakelovers gave us a heater. Could do with a security light in garden as we had a dog and you couldn’t see where you were going. And to make it absolutely perfect and safe for our dog you could do with a fence and gate behind the outdoor table and chairs. But none of this would stop us from returning. Thank you for letting this property and sharing it with others. Absolutely stunning.

"A high quality very comfortable apartment which is well equipped."
We enjoyed our stay and the fact that whilst we were not too far from Windermere we were in quiet surroundings and could walk from the door. Very comfortable beds and great showers. Would certainly look to stay here again if visiting the area.

"Deer Wood is a lovely property, equipped to a high standard and in a good location."
Leaving no cleaning cloths or kitchen roll etc even with the challenges of Covid is a little poor. We had issues with the washing machine as it would not work and had to report this to Lakelovers twice. No-one came back to us. Eventually fixed 2 days later very quickly as it seemed the water had been switched off, and not by us!
