  • "Beautiful lodge in a fantastic location for exploring Windermere and the Lake District."

Excellent park facilities and very dog friendly. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Just a short walk to the Lake from the Lodge which is just breathtaking. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend especially if you want to bring your dog.

  • "Very nice and comfortable lodge and location."

I would recommend it and i may book it again. Will recommend the reviews to be read . Flashing light in the fridge , we found dirty baking trays which were mentioned in previous reviews. TV in small bedroom was not working. Cleaning needs to improve. We enjoyed our break in the lodge . DS

  • "Great property in fantastic location on site."

Great lodge with everything you need and despite an issue with the TV signal this was soon fixed through contact with the owner. Lodge is very new and great for a family of four. East parking as you do t have to go into site as it’s off the main resort car park which we felt was a real bonus as within easy reach of all on site facilities. Food on site was really good as well and priced as per other establishments in the area. Would highly recommend this lodge to anyone.

  • "Stayed on this site many times and this was by far the most comfortable lodge."

Location and parking was ideal. The lodge had everything we needed. Owners need to change the Towels, freezer not working and intermittent flashing lounge spotlight requires looking at.

Hi Terry Thansk for you're kind review about the lodge it's much appreciated and thanks for letting us know about the light as this has now been fixed and a new freezer is on the way we'll also look at getting some new towels for the guests. Hopefully see you at the lodge another time and thanks again for the great review. Property Owner

  • "The property and the site it was based on was superb!"

First house on your right as you enter the site opposite reception. So not far from the playgrounds , reception, pub and pool . The lodge and the site , was really dog Friendly ! The lodge it's self was clean , modern and spacious ! Lovely living area and just the right size, wooden flooring so really dog friendly ! Lots to do in close surrounding areas. Mostly outdoor activities and weather permitting locations nearby . However a perfect retreat non the less . In case of bad weather recommend visiting Brockhole which has a zip line activity, massive park ( no dogs allowed) , nice walks which are dog friendly. Indoor activities we went to the lakeside aquarium, quite small probably an hour / 90 minute visit but enjoyable especially with young ones. We didn't know about it but you can book a ferry ride or train ride joint tickets with the aquarium and make it a full morning or afternoon out . Dogs allowed on boat but not in the aqauriam. The owners were very quick to respond with any enquiries and extremely accommodating. Only feedback to the owners would be , there was a handheld hoover but not a standing hoover. On our stay it was terrible weather . The handheld hoover made cleaning a bit more back breaking and time consuming. Highly recommend, Hoping to return soon I'm spring or summer months . Thank you .

Hi Thomas Thanks for the great review of the lodge and site this is much appreciated we're glad you enjoyed you're time there and hopefully welcome you back one day Thanks again Property Owner
