Nestled in the quaint village of Haverthwaite in the countryside of Cumbria, is this superb shepherd's hut, Ash.

This pet-friendly, quirky holiday home is perfect for a couple or two friends looking for a hideaway with their furry friend.

Leave your vehicle in a roadside space before being greeted by a front patio area with furniture to soak up the sun.

Step inside to the studio-style space, where there is a kitchen area to prepare mouth-watering meals with an oven and microwave to assist you.

Settle down at the breakfast bar to tuck-into a snack or head outside to the arctic cabin, where you can toast marshmallows on the gas barbecue.

As the evening cools, retire inside and unwind on the sofa as you flicker through the TV with Freeview and enjoy a film night in.

When sleep calls, there is cozy double bed, along with a shower room to prepare for the day ahead.

The Woodman's Huts

The Woodman’s Huts consists of three beautiful shepherds hut resting in the charming Cumbrian village of Haverthwaite. This collection offers fantastic pet-friendly, studio-style accommodation with well-equipped kitchens, underfloor heating, bespoke furnishings, well-appointed shower rooms, private gardens within the picturesque Japanese themed garden with water feature and decking, as well as access to the communal Artic Hut with fire pit/barbecue, plenty of seating and music area, along with an additional communal seating area. Bowness-on-Windermere 8 miles.

Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
