  • "Lovely cottage."

Very clean. An exceptional amount of kitchen equipment, cutlery, crockery, utensils etc. just one small comment we would have liked a kitchen roll.

Thank you for your kind feedback! I've had so many bad experiences trying to cook a Sunday dinner in a holiday house I wanted to make sure we had absolutely everything you could need. Property Owner

  • "Perfect holiday home for a family break."

Plenty to do in local area. House had everything we needed and more, beds super comfortable. Only niggle would be lack of seating in living room for number of people the house sleeps.

Thank you for your feedback, we're so happy you enjoyed your stay. We are planning to add seating to the living room, meanwhile there are occasional chairs that can be moved as necessary. Property Owner

  • "Living room seating could potentially be a challenge if all four bedrooms are in use, but Chapel Cottage is a lovely, extremely well equipped cottage in a central village location."

Middleton in Teesdale has a range of shops & cafes, a couple of decent pus, a sports bar and a couple of takeaway food places, all within a short walk of the cottage. We very much enjoyed our stay in the cottage & will undoubtedly return.

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We had considered that additional seating may be required so it is important to us to have received this feedback and we will look to add extra permanent seating as well as occasional seating that can be moved around. Property Owner

  • "Lovely place to stay, good location, clean and well equipped."

There’s no onsite parking but plenty of room on the road in front of the house. There are a couple of places to eat for an evening meal within an 15 minute walk and a lovely cafe (Samuel James) within a 5 minute walk for a super breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

Thank you for choosing our cottage and for your kind feedback. Samuel James is our favourite breakfast/brunch/lunch/cake place too! They also have a lovely Deli selection if you ever find yourself back in Middleton-in-Teesdale. Property Owner

  • "What a fantastic cottage, everything you could need and more, surpassed all expectations."

Open the white gate and enter the lovely front garden, open the front door and you'll be wowed by the interior of the cottage. Immaculately clean, well equipped and has a homely feeling to it. Very comfortable beds and fantastic bathroom, great secure outdoor space front and rear for the dog. Provided with a very generous welcome pack which we really appreciated. Great location in the heart of the village which has all the amenities anyone would need. The cottage definitely surpasses the 4 star rating and all credit to the owner. This has to be one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and we will definitely make a return visit.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We're so happy you enjoyed our cottage and your stay in Middleton-in-Teesdale. We hope to welcome you back again in the future! Property Owner
