  • "Lovely setting, excellent apartment, beautifully clean with good quality furnishings."

    Very cute ducks too

  • "The site itself is wonderful we loved it ."

The mattress was very very soft (maybe a little old?) And a medium mattress would probably suit more on the law of averages. Lots of spiders and cobwebs , I realise it's the country but much of this would be fixed with a 5 min blitz of dusting. The Hayloft is perfect for 2 people with dogs size wise and the kitchen was well stocked, the dishwasher was super useful. The oven markings were worn off so when we used the oven it was guesswork. Location wise we would rave about, lovely walk into the town and just a short drive to Skegness/Mablethorpe. Staff were brilliant, very helpful and the welcome basket was a thoughtful and generous touch. We would definitely come back and recommend to others.

  • "We found The Hayloft very comfortable, and surrounding area lovely, duck pond and fishing lake, views from Windows."

Comfy bed with nice quality linen, plenty of towels. I would suggest a non slip may in the shower, and maybe an extra toilet roll, it's been a long time since I have had to buy t/ rolls while on holiday. It was our first visit to Lincolnshire, enjoyed the area, as it is flat, and we can't do the hills anymore.

  • "Lovely little conversion."

Fully equipped with everything you could need for a self catering experience. Very comfortable and clean. Only a short drive to Skegness beach which was great for the dog. Will definitely return again. Next time I’ll book a ground floor conversion so the dog can roam more freely.

About the location

BURGH LE MARSH

Skegness 4 miles.

The pretty town of Burgh le Marsh, surrounded by open farmland, is just four miles from the popular seaside town of Skegness. Burgh le Marsh has varied amenities, with five pubs all serving food, a butcher's, a baker's and a store. There is a lovely historic windmill and an ancient church, perched high on a hill. There is a mixture of old and new buildings, now housing several tea rooms and restaurants. It has a good road network, with very easy access to Louth, Lincoln and the coast. The nearby coastline has long, sandy beaches and sand dunes, a haven for wildlife, including a couple of seal sanctuaries, notably Donna Nook Seal Reserve to the north of Mablethorpe. This is ideal cycling country, with quiet country routes and flat terrain. The town provides a good base for touring this lesser known coastal district of Lincolnshire.

Two well-behaved dogs welcome - not to be left unattended and a charge of £30 per dog payable in cash upon arrival.
