    • “We have at least 3 holidays each year with our two dogs and always rent cottages. This is amongst the best. Warm, clean, modern, fabulous conservatory too. Weather wasn't that good, so having somewhere like this to return to was brilliant. Highly recommend.”

    • “The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable warm (even in the winter!) Everything you need is there. Kitchen very well equipped. Location beautiful with many attractions in the area. Our hosts were very welcoming and couldn't be more helpful, Will definitely recommend this lovely cottage to anyone who likes peace and quiet, but near enough to all airforce museums, country houses and quaint villages, but still close to main towns . Thanks a lot for a beautiful holiday. .”

The property is spotless clean and inviting. There U.P.V.C.chairs and table in the rear garden area and a lawned area with a border at the front. The owners are wecoming and friendly. The whole is situated at the entrance to a quite adult only well kept touring caravan site. This property is a good base for travelling to the picturess villages and towns and is also within easy reach of Skegness. Good pub food and takeaway fish and chips close by. Lots to do and see.”

    Mr Harmer, Norwich, June 2014

    • “The place was a perfect base to explore the area. It was extremely well cared for. The owners were friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. The 'welcome' Easter egg was a lovely touch. The accommodation is excellent; it looks small from the outside but is exceptionally spacious inside. Great conservatory. The plus for us was that we were able to bring our dogs and the site is adults only, hence peaceful!”

    Mrs Peek, Exeter, April 2014

    • “The accommodation was absolutely faultless and owners extremely helpful. We had a very comfortable week and would love to have stayed longer. There are so many good eating places nearby and lots to see. We travelled as far as East Kirkby Aviation Centre and RAF Coningsby. We were fortunate enough to see so many daffodils in full bloom everywhere. Thoroughly recommend.”

About the location

Boston 8 miles; Skegness 15 miles.

Old Leake is a quiet, South Lincolnshire village on the edge of the Fens, an area known as the “Holland of England” due to its bulb fields, vegetable production and windmill sails. Old Leake sits in lovely countryside and has a shop, Post Office, three pubs, a sports field and a children’s playground. Less than 9 miles away, the market town of Spilsby offers shops, restaurants and inns, while Trader Windmill, a working mill now run by English Heritage, can be found 4 miles away in Sibsey. The area has much on offer: the former WWII airfield at East Kirkby, now an Aviation Heritage centre, the large market town of Boston, the traditional seaside resort of Skegness and the antiques centre of Horncastle. For nature lovers, RSPB Freiston Shore and Frampton Marshes are within easy distance, and the coastline, Fens and rolling hills of the Wolds offer many walks.
