  • "The most perfect weeks holiday we have had."

In fact we could easily move in! Spotlessly clean - extremely comfortable - a 6' wide bed that just didn't want you to leave in the morning. Everything you needed to cook with, a convenient cordless vacuum, a washing machine, iron and board and oh, so peaceful. Our hosts, Lindy and Steve, couldn't have been more hospitable, nothing was too much trouble although not intrusive. I nearly forgot - the complimentary basket and fresh eggs. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope that we will be visiting again.

Thank you so much for the great feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and went home feeling very relaxed. We definitely look forward to welcome you again soon Property Owner

  • "The property is one of the best we have been to and owned by two lovely people who go out of their way to make the stay in their lovely property welcoming, pleasant and ideal for a break."

We couldn't fault the cottage or Steve and Lindy but unfortunately the attitude from Sykes when we wanted to stay three extra days was awful. ,I checked online just to see what the charge would be for 3 days if I hadn't already been there and it was £366 - When I asked Sykes how much for me to extend for three extra days when I was already there I was quoted £499 - I queried it and was told it was £407 extra as we were going into another week plus £40 increase in booking fee, £22 for extra insurance (I agree here) and £30 Amendment fee. this is scandalous and it seems that the only people benefiting are Skye's. we left after the week as I will not be held to ransom. There are plenty of other places to book cottages in future. There would have been no need to change anything and all that was needed was to charge for three more days, hardly difficult when it was all set up. Why would they need more for the booking fee or amendment when everything was the same.I felt so sorry for the owners who had gone out of their way to help and the week we did have there was lovely - we veven had a welcome box and some eggs from their own hens but on principal I wouldn't pay the extra. Thanks Steve and Lindy for a great stay - shame on you money grabbing Sykes.

Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are so sorry you weren’t able to stay a few more days due to the cost. We will be discussing this with Sykes. Property Owner
