  • "Had a lovely stay at Deu-Ddrws."

It was cosy, clean and comfortable. We stayed for a week and settled in and could have stayed longer. The cottage was well equipped, and being in the centre of Barmouth meant easy access to the restaurants, beach and shops. Would recommend.

  • "A really charming converted fisherman's cottage in which much of the character remains while it has been converted to provide modern standards of comfort."

Barmouth is a sweet little town perfect for a beach holiday for the kids but with so many activities in the area for adults as well . This part of Snowdonia is very beautiful and the cottage is only a few steps from the seaside amenities and the mountain paths.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review, thank you for your kind words. Property Owner

  • "It’s a lovely cottage."

The beds are comfortable as are the sofas in the lounge area. It’s situated on a quiet, peaceful street but is only a few metres from the Main Street where there’s shops, cafes, pubs etc.

  • "Deu-Ddrws is situated in a very convenient location close to the middle of Barmouth but is very quiet like it is outside the town."

The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and lots of cupboard space in the bedrooms to put your stuff. Internet TV in living and bedroom was great. Overall it was a very good experience and available at a good price.

  • "A short walk from rail station , very easy to find."

I chose the property for it's heritage and traditionally built features like slate flooring downstairs. Was not disappointed it felt like a direct link to an old way of life in the fishermens' cottage. Such friendly welcome by local people and a real community of people very proud to be 50% Welsh. The short walk to the beach, which is better than any European beach I have seen, beautiful clear sea. Felt at home and didn't want to leave. My kids asked if we could come back to the same cottage again. The beauty of the area is unprecedented enclosed by hills and mountains. Outdoor life is a really big thing at Barmouth with water sports, walking, cycling, eating out etc.
