  • "This lovely, well-equipped cottage is in a beautiful rural setting."

It’s a peaceful and safe setting. There are many walking opportunities around. My dog and I would love to stay again. Carole , the owner, was welcoming, thoughtful, and considerate. Thank you,Carole!

Thank you, Rosemary. You'll be pleased to note that I have sorted the problem with the cows! Spoke to the owner and complained that they were a dangerous mix and should not be anywhere near my property and that sooner or later someone would get hurt. I insisted that they stayed in the far field with the gate permanently shut. The owner of the herd agreed!!! Property Owner

It's in a wonderfully quiet location and Carole cannot do enough to welcome her guests. There was a generous welcome pack, and other items provided to ensure guests can cook up a simple meal. It was a great location for the dog, with grounds for nightime walks. Plus the tv was good. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for a relaxing stay.

The town of Montgomery sits just one mile from the border of England in Mid Wales. Popular with tourists, the town has a delightful selection of individual shops and a variety of pubs and restaurants, including the Michelin star restaurant, The Checkers, a fabulous way to make your holiday truly special. Pay a visit to the ruins of the 13th century Montgomery Castle, which enjoys beautiful views over the town’s timber-framed houses and cobbled streets, and beyond across Wales. The castle also hosts productions of touring theatre groups regularly during the summer. A few miles to the south is the historic market town of Bishop's Castle, an excellent place for a day or night out with its excellent pubs, live music and festivals throughout the year. The wider area is wonderful for walking and there are many cycle routes in the surrounding countryside with varying levels of difficulty.
