  • "My husband and I spent a week at the little shelve barn, it’s situated in a very quiet and peaceful spot with far reaching views across rolling countryside and the Stiperstones."

We experienced a couple of cool mornings but the underfloor heating kept us comfortable. Access is fine for any type of car, if you are looking for this type of property you will not be disappointed. Joan Stokes.

Good evening Joan. Thank you for your review. I'm so pleased you had an enjoyable week in Little Shelve Barn. Regards Tom and Katie Property Owner

  • "We visited during a very hot week."

The heating was on and we managed to turn it off but it was so hot. The duvets were winter weight which added to the heat so we slept with just a duvet cover. Because there were no blinds or curtains the intense light made the barn an oven. There was no welcome pack which was disappointing . we had no contact with the owner especially as the barn was so hot. It might have been nice to have checked we were ok and if we needed any fans etc. The good point is location and beautiful countryside all around. The step was loose and my husband grazed his leg on it. There was no oven glove so cooking became difficult. also there was only a cupboard with the boiler in to hang some clothes. No drawers or cupboard for clothes apart from the hanging rail. Ok if all you have is very little.

I'm sorry that the hottest September on record had a detrimental effect on your holiday with us. The heating, although it says 'On' wasn't on unless the temperature dropped below 19 degrees. The comprehensive welcome pack was located on the kitchen table on your arrival. Both bedrooms have either blinds or curtains, it's only the living room which has no blinds due to the sliding doors. We did attempt to visit you on 4 separate occasions, we also called your mobile with no answer. Property Owner
