Perfect for a relaxing and restful break
Having spent a lot of time looking at holiday cottages - I was delighted with my choice
Great base to explore the surrounding area and again having driven around - I was pleased I chose to be near Barmouth with it's clean and expansive beach, and with it's Mountain and Estuary views
The scenery in this area is stunning - where the mountains meet the sea
The welcome pack was incredibly generous, the cottage was warm and the bed was super comfy

"This is my second time at this beautiful cottage and know I will be coming back again."
Nestled in amongst beautiful scenery, near the beach and the most amazing walks within Snowdonia national park. The cottage has everything you need, modern, clean, fast broadband (great for uni work!) It's a delight!

Peaceful setting with lots of greenery around, and woodland. Lots of birds coming to the feeders the owners stocked up. Cottage very comfortable, we will be returning.

"Beautiful cottage surrounded by woodland."
Seen lots of birds coming to the feeders. Woodland walks on the doorstep and Barmouth only 10 mins away. Very quiet and peaceful. Great welcome pack eg milk, crackers, cheese, crisps, small pots of jam.
Would definitely come back.

"Home from home."
Extremely well equipped. The cottage is very attractive and in a lovely setting. Surrounded by lots of walking and cycling routes for the active and places to visit. The owners are very friendly and quick to help if if there’s a problem.

"The hosts of Bwthyn Caerdeon cottage were so friendly and welcoming, incredible hosts!"
It was immaculate inside, spacious and felt like home from home, with all rooms beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Stunning green scenery could be admired through every window. Superb location, tranquil, yet only 3 miles from Barmouth beach and the town amenities. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Bwthyn Caerdeon the cottage was spacious and comfortable."
Then setting was quiet and peaceful.Loved chilling out on the patio by the stream watching the wildlife.
The welcome pack was generous and the owners were very helpful.
Nice to have a choice of walks and a fishing spot right on the doorstep.Would definitely recomend a great combination of sea and mountains

"Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location a short drive off the main road."
The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. Spacious lounge and kitchen an beautiful bathroom. We liked the additional toilet with washing machine and dryer. Lovely bedroom with very comfortable bed.
My only criticism is the rubbish bins which are slightly difficult to access.

"This was one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in."

From the welcome hamper filled with local luxuries to the owners' impeccable taste in furnishings and decor, the thoughtful eco-touches to the detailed information folder and local maps, everything about Bwthyn Caerdeon speaks of the owners' care, consideration and generosity. It's a perfect base for exploring the local hills, beaches and the Afon Mawddach estuary. And if you misjudge the weather and head out on a recce without waterproofs - well, there's even a tumble dryer to bail you out of a soggy trousered predicament.

"Lovely cottage in lovely, quiet location."
Ideal for exploring Barmouth and further afield. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the patio and watching the woodpeckers feed, and the sound of the stream running alongside the property. The bed was very comfortable, the cottage comfortably furnished and the appliances easy to use.

"The cottage was lovely and in an ideal spot and we were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated."
First impressions were that the cottage was lovely and clean, nice towels and bed linen. The bed was very comfortable. In the kitchen there was every appliance/utensil wise that we needed. The sandwich maker was very marked so we didn't use that. There was an odour in the kitchen, around the oven area that wasn't particularly nice, we couldn't ascertain what it was it where it came from. We had a fly infestation up in the small landing toilet so maybe a supply of fly spray would have been handy, even though I hate using spray it would have been useful on this occasion. Luckily we had kept the door shut so they were mainly confined to that room although somehow they did make they way into the bathroom next to it. The water from the shower in the bath was very slow draining and when I checked on the last day as I was cleaning the bath I saw that the slow drainage was due to a clogged up plughole. This might be worth checking now and again to ensure water drains freely. The patio outside was lovely, had the sun and the sound of the running stream and birdsong was just idyllic, very restful. We were visited by several species of birds on the bird feeder including a regular woodpecker. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Thank you for your comment, we were sorry to hear of your issues , and have acted on them, it's easier to resolve them asap. We have not experienced any smell in the kitchen whilst cleaning and the cooker hood does get a frequent deep clean. We have been unable to detect where the flies were coming in - especially the small toilet, like you I don't like using fly spray but have now added one. The bath drain has now been cleaned thoroughly and I can only apologise for this. The toaster seems to have been scratched by knife, I can only guess whilst been cleaned by passed guests. We were pleased that you overall enjoyed your holiday, however, some of these issues could have been resolved immediately if you could have popped over and told us , we are here and very happy to help anytime to make your stay more comfortable. We very much look forward to greeting you to the cottage in the future.

"The photo's do not do this place justice, it is stunning."
I have already booked another week for this year. There is a tiny brook in the garden and can be heard clearly, so relaxing and zen like. It is a 6 minute drive to Barmouth which is a wonderful large beach and close to fantastic walks within Snowdonia National Park. A beautiful find to add to my list! Cannot wait to return.

"Sadly due to a family emergency we had to leave early but what a cracking little cottage, nice and secluded but central enough for lots of access to many places."
From the welcome pack which was over and above any expectations to the gadgets and gizmos( which as an aged non techie couple) had us looking puzzled
