  • "Lovely house with stunning views."

A view from every window, nothing better then relaxing in the garden looking at the view and watching the sun sets. Everything very clean and well maintained. Jeff was very helpful. Would certainly look at staying here again. Loved it!!!

  • "The house is beautiful, gorgeous garden and amazing views, The owner is very very helpful and left us with bread butter, cake tea and coffee with lots more as a welcome gift."

We 100% recommend, it’s 5 minutes from the village with lots of shops and food, plus within range of plenty of activities. Thank you for a fantastic holiday It is on a very steep hill but we took my dads mobility vehicle and it had no problem getting up the hills 5* from us

  • "Thank you so much for the most awesome holiday at Stoneycroft!"

The property was immaculate and beautifully furnished. Tremendous effort has been put into decorating it to such a high standard. The owner went above and beyond his call of duty to accommodate all our needs to ensure the most magnificent and comfortable stay! He even had a fan delivered when the weather turned very hot. We are so grateful and highly recommend!

  • "Stoneycroft was wonderful."

Super clean and very well stocked with ample supplies of china and glassware, we very much appreciated the lovely hamper of local produce left for us. The garden with plenty of quality garden furniture was great for our party plus dog. Wonderful views were enjoyed from the house and garden. Just a pity it rained quite so much! Many thanks

  • "Brilliant place in ideal situation with outstanding views."

Only draw back as needed to dry some clothes quickly and wanted to do it by ironing them but unfortunately no iron. Would go back anytime.

  • "Really enjoyed our break at Stoneycroft ."

The house is tastefully finished inside & to a high standard, very much home from home . Access is good from where the car is parked making it easy to carry cases in to the property. The kitchen is well equipped ( Loved the coffee machine) & the welcome pack was very welcome :) As there was only 2 of us we obviously only used the one bedroom which had a really comfortable bed ( slept well). The one bedside lamp didn't work properly but didn't cause a problem . The only other thing was the blind in the picture window in the dining area was brokren . Again this wasn't a problem as your'e not overlooked . The views from the house & garden are brilliant . If there is a problem , its got nothing to do with the house but where it is , halfway up a very steep lane, which is a real lung buster when you walk up into the town , which would present a real problem if you had any disability. Other than that thoroughly recommended.

  • "Well equipped and spotless house, with great views over the peninsula."

Welcome pack was a nice surprise, as well as the outdoor area. And the EV charger was a real bonus in a region where there are few. The owner was quick to respond to any enquiry. Would definitely rent again and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet retreat near numerous sand beaches and outdoor activities.

Standard of decor great and fixtures and fittings all working well. The welcome pack was a really nice addition

  • "Very grateful for the welcome pack."

I would suggest a shower mat in the walk in shower as the base is extremely slippy and a smart TV as programmes very limited. The house was spotless and with good quality equipment.

The property

Settled in an elevated position in the charming coastal village of Harlech, in North Wales, rests this wonderful three-storey semi-detached holiday home, Stoneycroft.

Framing far-reaching views towards the Llyn Peninsula and the peaks of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park whilst enjoying close proximity to a wealth of must-see sights and attractions, Stoneycroft makes an excellent base for a group celebration in Wales.

Park up in one of the two off-road spaces provided before unloading your bags and making your way inside your new home-from-home, kicking off your shoes as you step into the handy hallway space that greets you upon arrival.

A lengthy journey calls for rest, so flick on the television and unwind with a sumptuous spot on the corner sofa in the open-plan living/dining room, as the glow of the rustic woodburning stove crackles nearby, or simply soak in the spectacular sights across the greenery of Harlech golf course from the bay window.

When stomachs start to rumble, utilise the fantastic range of facilities provided in the well-designed kitchen to rustle up a hearty feast and gather with your loved ones at the dining table to indulge.

In the warmer weather, take your dining experience outdoors to your private garden, where a glass balustrade offers unspoilt views across the rooftops to the glistening waters of the coast; a truly lovely spot to enjoy an evening tipple under the stars.

As day draws to night, retreat indoors and climb the stairs to the first floor where you'll find the stylish family bathroom, equipped with both a bath and a spacious walk-in shower cubicle; pour in the bubbles and indulge with a soak in the bath, or freshen up following a day of adventure with a quick rinse under the shower head.

When sleep calls, choose between two doubles or a bunk room set across the way, or climb the stairs to the second floor to catch your rest in the twin room, thoughtfully tucked under the sloped ceiling and offering flexible sleeping arrangements for both families and friends sharing.

Take advantage of your close proximity to the glorious sands of Harlech Beach, where you can paddle the shores as you soak in the spectacular sights towards the Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountain range, or lounge on the dunes as you indulge in a hearty picnic.

A short walk from the property are a handful of local gems, including a lovely Italian restaurant that serves fantastic sit-in meals, freshly baked pastries for the mornings, and takeaway pizzas and pasta, as well as an artisan ice cream shop selling homemade, sweet treats and a local deli shop offering Welsh pies.

In addition to these, there is a newly-built artisan shop where you can buy wonderful frozen ready meals, as well as fresh produce, cakes, and bread; there is even in-store wine sampling!

There are also a number of small artisan stores and inviting cafés, access to a public pool and climbing centre, as well as a local playground and football pitch for the kids.

Harlech Castle, a World Heritage Site with a neighbouring park and the award-winning Royal St. David's Golf Club for those who wish to put their talents to the test on the greens, are also close by.

The lively harbour town of Porthmadog rests nearby, offering scenic journeys through the picture-perfect landscapes aboard the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, whilst the Italianate architecture of Portmeriron is must-see.

Be sure to lace up your walking boots and embark on an adventure through Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, where thrill seekers can tackle the climb to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the tallest mountain in Wales, or delve below the surface with an afternoon spent amongst the caves at Bounce Below.

With so much to see and do, Stoneycroft is an excellent base for a retreat to Wales.
