  • "The property is good, although a little small."

One of you has to climb into the bed and cannot get out without the other moving. However, the property is in a good position in Harlech and good access to the glorious beach. Good access to trains providing connections to many coastal places. One problem we found was lack of close places to eat, especially during the evening.

  • "As per our email,we expect some financial refund on what we paid."

No internet, had to travel to Barmouth x4 times a day to access.Cannot cook, advertised as self careting, heat sensor/smoke alarm kept going off,no extractor fan.So additional expense,fuel/paying fpr take aways, food taken/put in the bin.

Hi Carol, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience you faced during your stay. It must have been frustrating for you to not have access to the internet and having to travel to Barmouth multiple times a day to access it. Upon arrival, you reported that you were struggling to access the Wi-Fi. I sent you another access code and asked if you could let me know if there were any further issues. However, I received no reply. I assure you that I would have taken action immediately if you had let me know of the persistent WiFi issue. I am also sorry to hear that you found it inconvenient not to have an extractor while cooking. We do not advertise one, but there is a window to the immediate right of the hob and the outside door immediately to the left which is normally sufficient for all of our guests. I apologize if the fire alarm went off during your stay. We live 50ft away from the property and did not hear anything. Otherwise, we would have immediately come over and checked that everything was OK. Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the comfort and cleanliness of the cottage. Kirsty and her team work very hard to ensure our cottages are clean and well presented. Best Wishes Chris Woodlands Caravan Park, Harlech Property Owner

  • "This property was good value for money, small but with everything we as a couple with dog needed."

We were there in March, when the park was very quiet, so can't comment on peak season. Access to Harlech and the castle was excellent, a short walk up the 'world's steepest street' (less steep alternative available), with the beach and a good shop equally convenient.

Hi Marian, Thank you for your feedback. Woodlands is a small site of only 32 owner occupied static caravans and 3 holiday cottages, as we have no facilities (play area, bar etc...) the park is always peaceful and never feels too busy. Thank you again for your booking, hopefully we will welcome you back to Woodlands in the future. Best Wishes Chris Woodlands Caravan Park, Harlech Property Owner

  • "We were not told the Cottage was on a Caravan site & it was not mentioned it was on a Caravan site in the advert, with regards to the pictures there was Caravans in the background but it did not say anywhere that the Cottage was on the site, all it said it was a lovely Cottage in a beautiful Town."

The Cottage was very clean but to put a single bedroom with a double bed in it was a health hazard as there was only inches around the bed hence when my wife went around the bottom of the bed she caught the inside of her leg twice going to the toilet causing 2 bruises on the which is just clearing up after 2 weeks, the owners of the Cottage is very lucky we did not take photo's and claim compensation. the bottom line is if it said the Cottage was situated on a Caravan park we would have never booked. the only think was that The Cottage was very clean.

Hi Tom, Thank you for your feedback. My apologies if you felt misled by the advert, we did not think that the cottage being located on a caravan park would be considered a reason not to book. However we have requested that Sykes amend their listing to make it clear that Tan Isa is located on a caravan park. I'm sorry to hear that your wife had difficulty navigating the bedroom. Just to clarify, the bedroom in Tan Isa has been used as a double room throughout our ownership (14 years). I will be the first to admit that it is a small room but the dimensions of the room do not inhibit access to the bed. Thank you for your positive comment regarding the cleanliness of the cottage. Kirsty and her team work very hard to maintain high standards of cleanliness in our cottages. Best Wishes Chris Woodlands Caravan Park, Harlech Property Owner
