  • "What a lovely cottage, perfect for exploring the coast line of this stunning part of the world."

Cottage has been renovated to a really high standard and has everything you need for a week away in Wales. Kitchen fitted out with everything you need, including a dishwasher to save all those arguments of who is washing up. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of walking or swimming in the sea. Relax, sit back and look at the stars. Very dog friendly too, including a Woodland Trust forest behind the cottage to walk your furry friends. Will be back.

Thank you - glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you again. Paul Property Owner

  • "The cottage itself has been renovated to a high standard and is warm, cosy and welcoming with a lovely wood burning stove which we used every night."

It has everthing you need including little extras like washing up liquid, salt, pepper, tea, coffe, sugar, milk and a beautiful welsh cake and fresh flowers which was a special touch. Paul his wife and daughter were fantastic hosts and made our stay really special by inviting us to feed the lambs, stroke the horse and collect eggs which made my autistic sons holiday. Llandysul is a lovely town and has some great little gift shops, cafes pubs and a great stained glass artist shop. We ventured to New Quay which a stunning seaside town and we would definitely recommend The Fisherman's Cottage to other people looking for a short break with excellent facilities including the hot-tub. Thanks Tracy, Keiron and Caleb.

Thank you - and glad your son enjoyed meeting the animals! Property Owner

The downstairs in open plan and is spacious and has everything you can need. Hot tub was clean and they check the levels to ensure it is in good condition Location is perfect, whether you want to explore inland, beaches or just chill in the hot tub. Hoping to go back again soon

  • "The property itself was nice and clean with everything you need."

The downside was we were woken up each morning about 5am with the noise of the cockerels just across from our bedroom window. A few days after we went into the hot tub our 12yo son was sick and developed a rash all over his body. A day later his dad also developed a rash. We had mentioned to the owners that the water level was low, ie below the filter but it was never topped up. We had to get medical attention who confirmed it was Pseudomonas Folliculitis a bacterial infection caused by the quality of the water in the hot tub. When we informed the owners, we didn't get an apology. Not very impressed.

The Fisherman’s Cottage is advertised as being ‘on a working farm’. We operate a strict process for the maintenance and cleaning of the hot tub before each new arrival. And perform ongoing water checks during the stay to ensure the water remains in line with the required chemical parameters. We issue hot tub instructions and rules in our welcome pack, which are in line with industry practice. When asked by the guests to check the water level, a check was carried out and confirmed that the water level was correctly filled in line with the suppliers instructions. Water chemistry checks were also performed regularly throughout the stay. During the stay the guests did not raise the possibility they were ill or had a skin irritation due to the hot tub, but they continued to use the hot tub frequently. Had we been aware of the skin irritation and illness prior to the end of their stay we would have advised against continued use of the hot tub, and could have offered to undertake a water change and clean for the other guests continued use during their stay. What a gorgeous little find to spend New year sat in the hot tub watching the stars. Brilliant location with country walks right on your doorstep but also within easy reach of Newquay and Tenby. We will definitely be back. Thankyou!!

Thanks and glad you had an enjoyable new year break. We are fortunate that the dark skies locally enhance the views on a clear night, and what better than relaxing in the hot tub while viewing the sky! Property Owner

Cant say enough how lovely the cottage was with fantastic scenery surrounding. The cottage itself is really well kept, spacious and everything I would hope for.
