  • "Had a 3night gorgeous stay over the Easter weekend."

Looks exactly as listed. Pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness considering it is dog friendly! All essentials for kitchen for basic cooking provided. Dog mat/bed and bowel provided. One thing that may be handy is a mop or wipes so we could help keep floors tidy after the doggo’s. Hot tub was lit and heated prior to arrival and owners easily contactable when needed! Will definitely stay again if we’re near the area!

  • "We decided to spend Christmas away from home this year and booked 1 week away at the Stag Lodge."

We have found a home away from home. Sarah and Andy were super welcoming with both of us and also our fur baby Daisy. Lodge is well equipped and has everything you need inside to feel like home. We got to experience strom Pia on our holiday but the lodge has keept us warm throughout the day and night, enjoyed Christmas movies on Netflix when raining and the wood fired hot tub during the evenings. Absolutely loved the stone build fire area where we made a BBQ everyday. The nature surrounding the lodge is breathtaking and just a lovely sight for the eye when sipping your morning coffee. Inside the lodge you can find loads of ideas to spend your day if you feel like exploring. So looking foward to book Stag lodge in the future. Thank you Sarah and Andy for a lovely Christmas week ❤️

  • "Just perfect, cannot fault the lodge, the surroundings or the owners."

12 out of 10 across the board. Beautiful setting, all just perfect - hot tub amazing! Just so peaceful and what we needed. Only suggestion I would give is the outdoor chairs. They are metal and not relaxing chairs as such, we brought our own fabric type garden chairs that recline etc. the ones at lodge are ok for 30 mins for a cuppa but to sit outside for a long time wether be reading or round fire pit they are not comfy. Cannot wait to re book and come again which we hope will be October November. Would highly reccomended

  • "Stag Lodge is an oasis of peace and tranquillity."

The lodge is perfectly sized, beautifully clean and very cosy. We loved the log fuelled hot tub under the stars. This was a wonderful way to end a day out. The hosts were helpful, thoughtful and not intrusive. Communication was exceptional. The tea, coffee and sugar were well stocked. There was milk and Prosecco in the fridge for our arrival and the hot tub was on. We would highly recommend a stay at Stag Lodge. We stayed 4 nights in December and didn’t want to leave.

The only complaint we had and this is a very small complaint, is that it was quite difficult to get the hot tub warm. However with the help of Andy it was piping hot all night. We will be back.

I'd love to give loads so it doesn't get booked more often so it's always free and I can go whenever I just need to unwind. What a weekend. Welshpool is close by and the raven inn food was great too. But other than that small venture out I had all I could wish for within those walls.Really was all we could have asked for and so much more. Thank you

We met the owners once both lovely people. Some people said we needed a microwave I don’t think so the cute little tower cooker unit does everything I loved the rotisserie. I will definitely be back and would definitely recommend it. Absolutely stunning
