  • "The Granary was perfect for our family holiday as we also rented the Old Bakehouse as well so this provided extra space on the door step."

  • "We had a nice two night stay at the Granary cottage."

It was clean, well equipped and comfortable accommodation. It’s certainly pet friendly with wooden floors and not many ornaments around. Fudge our cocker spaniel found it a bit strange having stairs as we live in a bungalow. It would be nice to be able to park outside of the cottage instead of on the road. The only other problem we had was that we couldn’t work out the firestick for the tv. We would certainly recommend the Granary cottage.

  • "Wonderful location in a great village."

The Rose and Crown pub right next door was a bonus and the co op 5 minutes walk away was very convenient . The cottage was perfect for 2, it is well equipped, compfortable and clean and the manager Sally was extremely helpful. A great location from which to explore North Norfolk. Highly recommended.

  • "Loved the cottage, and especially the quirkiness of it."

Really enjoyed spending time in the beautiful garden. The location is brilliant. I did put a note in the maintenance book about the toilet though, when it is flushed, there is residual water around the base, the cottage also had a slightly musty odour which I think may be due to this?. I would certainly return to the cottage as I loved it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the cottage and surrounding areas.  We will ensure that the toilet is looked at. Thank you for letting us know. Property Owner

  • "A few things - We liked staying there and in a good location, but somethings would improve the place."

A really nice place and we enjoyed staying there. The reply to my query was quick although took some sorting. TV reception very poor to say the least and should be better. Wifi was very bad (better after relocated the signal booster box). Small table in living room so flimsy it nearly collapses when put 2 cups on. Perhaps 2 small side tables would be better. Would be good to have a DAB radio downstairs. Also a small chair in the bedroom. The net curtain on front door is too thin and poor quality. The shower is hot and powerful but the drainage is very poor so you stand in water almost all the time. It takes ages to drain away. The welcome pack of fruit juice, cake + dog biscuits a really nice touch.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, we are always looking to improve our service to ensure you have an amazing experience. We have taken on the comments and made some improvements to the property, after the busy summer period the shower is due to be fixed as it has recently become an issue. Property Owner

About the location

SNETTISHAM

Heacham 3 miles; Royal Sandringham 4 miles; Hunstanton 5 miles.

Snettisham is a traditional Norfolk village, with many of its houses built from the local iron-rich carr stone, which has an attractive golden-brown colouring. Due to this, the buildings are known locally as “gingerbread houses”. Village amenities include general stores, a Post Office, 2 inns, a bistro and a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside resort of Hunstanton and historic King’s Lynn. The church of St Mary sits alone on top of the hill and is certainly worthy of a look inside at the exquisitely decorated tracery flowers on the west window. There is an RSPB bird sanctuary close to the beach, which is three miles away, and the ancient Peddars Way public footpath runs near to the village. Park Farm is on the edge of the village, and is a working farm with year-round activities for all the family, including a 45-minute “deer safari” and the chance to feed some of the animals. The Royal Estate of Sandringham, whose impressive house, gardens and church are open to the public, is nearby, as are the plant farm, tea rooms and gift shop at Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm.
