  • "Could be such a lovey place, but needs serious maintenance."

The dishwasher was unusable, as the door would only open a ut, due to it dropping. The main bed had slats fallen out of it, there were cobwebs everywhere, given check in is at 5, you would expect cleanliness. There is no book or instructions on what to do with bins , or hiw the haeting works etc, There is also no main bin, so nowhere to put the rubbish out to? The TV in the downstairs room doesn't work, which was hugely disappointing for the kids (and us!). There was not even hand soap available in the bath rooms, so we had to go buy our own. No basics, like salt or pepper, let alone tea or coffee which are usually standard in holiday lets. We got the impression the owner skimps, we know he has has multiple properties, and doesn't care, as long he makes money.

Views excellent. Disappointed no tv in bedroom. Should be clearer in advert. Trouble with wi fi but owner went out of his way to fix it which he did.

  • "The place is very clean and tidy."

Had just about everything we needed. Sofa and beds were comfortable. Building was nice and warm. Couldn't find a welcome instruction pack so hopefully we did everything expected of us. Thankfully we were the only ones staying the the row if 5 properties as there is no way 5 cars or even 4 cars could park there but would still stay again.

  • "Thank you Greg, Sally & Jasmin for providing the Harbour View Cottage."

Its location is fantastic. Some previous guests seem to have had issues parking but we found it very straightforward, it needs care and thought and above all a cooperative spirit with those visiting adjacent cottages which we found easy. Conwy has so much to offer and everyone is unbelievably friendly. Thank you Greg for your invaluable involvement with the RNLI. We look forward to returning to Conwy again.

  • "Just returned from a weeks stay at Harbour View The cottage needs a good clean as there was a lot of cobwebs and spiders around, windows sills and skirting boards also need cleaning, considering our check in was 5pm we expected the cottage to be really clean and it was not,, with regard to the parking we was told there was lots of parking and it was not a problem,, there are five cottages and the parking is a joke as there is not enough space for five cars,, you will find yourself blocked in and have to knock on people’s doors to ask them to move if you want to get out but as we found out some people go out without there cars and they are not in to move out of your way for you to get out leaving you stuck with no exit out so you have to know what you are doing beforehand to arrange the parking problem,, not good if you don’t know what your plans are in advance also you will be two foot from people’s front door and struggle to get in and out of your car, there was no welcome pack in the cottage with any details of facilities which is very poor ."

  • "We found Harbour view spacious and well positioned for getting around Conwy."

The bed was very comfortable, as was the sofa with recliners. There was no information regarding any of the appliances or heating. Restaurant information was not up to date, local knowledge is valuable to visitors and I would suggest trying to improve that. The parking is extremely tight. Glad we brought a medium car not an estate. We used buses the whole week so as not to face the trauma of getting back in.

  • "Nice cottage in a superb position overlooking the estuary."

Made a pleasant change being able to walk the short distance to the town, pub and chippy. Good location for visiting N. Wales attractions. Highly recommended.

  • "Excellent location close to the town centre and quayside and a smart, well appointed cottage."

The only thing that could make it better would be a tv in the master bedroom plus a cottage ‘manual’ detailing heating controls, rubbish disposal, things to do and attractions etc.

  • "What a beautiful place this is, we will definitely be booking again, there was nothing not to love."

My only comment would be a welcome pack would of been a great touch, milk, tea, coffee, bread etc, a long drive left us needing a cuppa on arrival. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home.

  • "We enjoyed our stay."

We used the house as a base for walks locally and found that there was plenty to keep us occupied in and around Conwy. The house is well equipped, though we couldn't find the info folder with bins, WiFi etc. I would happily book this property again.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay in Harbour View, a fantastic home away from home and a gorgeous location all round."

My only concern was where we would park if all the other cottages on the row were occupied by car drivers as I really don't believe I'd get into our allotted space if this had happened, thankfully every time we arrived "home" we could easily access out space. but it was a worry. Otherwise a wonderful house, with amazing views and my family had a wonderful time.

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
