  • "The property would benefit from a deep clean, dust under furniture, lots of cobwebs, shower curtain was stained and there were lots of wood lice in the bathroom."

The futon sofa’s were very uncomfortable. The stairs are very steep, my 90 year old mother struggled to get up them. Parking charge for the week was £50, no alternative. The property was hard to find.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that there are a few things you didn't like. A new cleaning firm started this week and we will pass on the information. The free parking alternatives are mentioned in the property description, otherwise you can choose to use the pay and display option. The property is tucked away from the main road, but this is what gives it its privacy, with a private garden. Menai cottages are always contactable during your stay if there are any issues. • "We had a really wonderful week in this cottage."

Just 2 minutes to the centre of Conwy and to the harbour. A perfect startingpoint for trips to the seaside, the snowdonia national Park and the pups in Conwy. The cottage is perfect for a family and very cosy.

  • "Morfa View Cottage is a beautiful place to stay for exploring North Wales."

The town centre is just down the road and it's only a 30 minute drive from all the main places to visit in North Wales. Inside the cottage amenities were fabulous and there was so much attention to detail. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return soon to this beautiful gem in Conwy. Martha and Therisa

  • "We had a lovely time, only problem was finding the cottage when we arrived."

It was pouring with rain and we had to walk around to find it. Probably because of all the building work as the small entrance was concealed behind a car and a skip. This was the only negative though. We loved the decor and all the facilities. Took a while to get the heating sorted, was freezing on arrival and then too hot once I changed the boiler times. We would definitely return. The house is so well stocked , we had everything and more than expected.

Thank you so much for your positive and helpful review. Sorry you had trouble finding the property. I have sent a description and some photos to be included in the arrivals schedule. The heating is on a timer to come on mornings and early afternoon. For instant heat there is an electric fireplace in the living room. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and liked the house. • "We've spent some wonderful days in Morfa View Cottage."

It is lovely and cosy and we immediately felt at home. We particularly liked the design of the cottage with all the beautiful furnishings. The house is also well equipped. But the best part is the garden, an oasis of peace. We enjoyed the terrace almost everyday. Having breakfast in the morning or a drink on an evening. Arriving without a car, we were not sure how we could assess sites further afield. It worked out really fine and we were able to get everywhere by public transport. The lady in the tourist office was also really helpful to find the right connections. We'll definitely be back.

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
