  • "The v steep drive way could be mentioned in the details."

Quite awkward with a large vehicle. The bathrooms have already been mentioned by previous guests, we found the bath rather difficult to manage was a case of style over substance. The beds were very comfortable as was the lounge furniture. Could have done with instructions re the TV.

  • "Very good location."

The house was warm, clean and well presented. As mentioned in previous reviews the upstairs toilet needs to have the door opening outwards. One of the trip switches tripped and as there is no information pack at the house, the fuse box wasn’t located. The owner is making ongoing improvements.

Thank you for your feedback we hope the new online information pack (Sykes App) will help ensure guests know where everything is and additional information that may be useful. We are looking to change the door opening which will be completed as soon as possible. Once again thank you for your kind words and feedback it’s vital for us to get this right. Property Owner

  • "Great location and the property was clean and well presented."

I do sympathise with previous comments on size of upstairs toilet/shower. Not ideal if you need to get up in the night !!! A door opening out would be a vast improvement. During our stay neither of the heated towel rails worked upstairs and the fan in the downstairs shower room wouldn’t switch off. There were a lot of statement pieces of lighting and furnishings but the lighting was too harsh in the lounge of an evening. Could definitely do with some lamps to soften the lighting. We use the kitchen a lot when we are away and found it a little light on utensils etc. It needs a vegetable strainer, some bowls to use in the microwave, some oven dishes and a broom/dustpan and brush. I also thought it was unusual not to have a ‘information’ file with instructions etc. I have been self catering for well over 20 years and this is the first property not to have one.

Really appreciate your feedback it helps us identify any improvements we can make. I am delighted the issues with the towel radiators has been rectified. After the install of the new boiler the pipes were not fully connected which has been remedied our new appointed plumber. We have added said items above in the kitchen. The information file is online through the Sykes App. We are sourcing some bed side lamps and also some lamps for the living to help with a softer ambiance. The remaining job is to change the door opening of the upstairs toilet to be change to allow better access. We hope this will make for a more pleasant stay for future guests and appreciate your understanding and helping us to get this right. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house but not impressed with the toilets."

Both are very small and not easy to get in and out of .The shower room and toilet is very small if you are on the large side you wouldn't be able to get in and out of the shower room .no toilet in the upstairs bathroom were the bath is .Downstairs toilet is also very small fitted under the stairs .The utility room isn't finished it would be much better if a decent shower room and toilet are fitted here and the under stairs toilet turned into the utility room with stacking washer dryer .Also one of the bedrooms has a very small double bed .its a tight squeeze to get passed the bottom of the bed because the dressing table almost touches the bottom of the bed. so you can't use the bottom drawers won't open bed in the way .All the rest of the house is lovely and well done .would we stay here again probably not because of the toilets. Its a shame because its so close to walk into shops pubs and restaurants of conway.

We are pleased to confirm we have a team in finishing off the utility room this will have installed a shower, toilet and sink. Regards the bed/drawers for some reason the bed was away from the wall this has been pushed back allowing better passage/access to the bottom drawer. We will see what else we can do here. Thank you for your feedback it is really important for us to get this right. New photos coming soon… Property Owner

  • "My sister and I had a lovely week at Bryn Gwynedd."

The house was very comfortable. Especially the beds. Bed linen and furnishings of high standard. Well equipped kitchen. One of the best we've stayed at. One thing that was missing from the inside of the house was a bin. Reading previous reviews, lack of a bin seem to be a common theme. It certainly didnt spoil our stay but would have helped.Overall our experience was very good. A beautiful house close to the town. Thank you Simon. Penny Gorman and Jan Ryder.

Penny, Jan, thank you for your kind words and positive feedback. Its really pleasing to hear you had a lovely stay and thank you for your comment "One of the best we've stayed at." We have listened to guest feedback, as of 14th October bins have been placed in the kitchen and next to toilets for guest convenience. This was oversight on our part. We will continue to strive to provide our guests with the best possible experience and always welcome feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back to Bryn Gwynedd and Conwy very soon. • "The holiday home had been completed to a very high standard."

The kitchen had everything necessary & the lounge furniture was exceptionally comfortable. All the bedrooms were very a generous size and again comfortable. The only difficulty I found was the shower was a very tight space. I have had major abdominal surgery and no longer have the same flexibility. It would have been much easier if the door opened outwards onto the landing.

Lorraine thank you so much for your feedback. I will have a look to see if we can change the door opening. I hope you enjoyed your time at Bryn Gwynedd, Conwy and North Wales, we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Yours Simon Property Owner

  • "The house itself is lovely and the sofas, bedding, cutlery etc were were stylish, it’s probably getting to the end of season so don’t want to be to critical but it needs just tidying up a bit, we missed having a bin in the kitchen or bathroom."

There were a few cobwebs about and spiders, maybe the cleaner needs more time but overall we loved the house and location, didn’t sit outside much but the garden furniture needs replacing or fixing and garden tidying up before summer but with its location and overall comfort and space it was great value for money and I’d recommend it

Really appreciate your thorough feedback which we are reviewing to ensure we make continued improvements for the best experience for all guests. We have had a lengthy conversation with our cleaning team to ensure continued high standards. The garden furniture has been repaired. Bins are also located in the kitchen and bathrooms for future convenience. We are pleased you feel it provided good value for money and you would recommend our property to others. Property Owner

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
