  • "Great week away spent at the Dunes."

Property was very good, location brilliant and views superb. Well worth the visit to the ski centre, all three generations enjoyed the toboggan run. Did the tram up the mountain but the dogs didn't like it so walked back down, but it made the pint in the King's Head at the bottom all the better. Used our National Trust membership as well (spoilt for choice). Just a couple of niggles which in no way spoilt our stay but need addressing for future guests, hot water in upstairs en suite basin non existent and the cushions on the balcony chairs were very wet and green algae had started to appear. We did dry them out but had no means of cleaning them. I would suggest that if the property is vacant for a period that they be brought inside. If we are up in that area again, I would not hesitate in looking at the Dunes again. Thanks Dave from Cornwall.

Hi Dave, Many thanks for your great review and thanks for your booking. your comments re the hot water and cushions will be addressed. Hope to see you again. Best wishes, Evan (Owner). Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic stay at the Dunes celebrating my daughter’s 40th birthday."

The house is immaculate, in a great location and would highly recommend. There is everything you need in the living/dining area. The beds are extremely comfortable and all bathrooms immaculate. The garden is well kept and we could let the dogs out knowing they were safe. Hot tub is an added bonus, as is the EV charger. We had to contact the owner on one occasion and he responded quickly and came over to us to help resolve our minor query. We would definitely return.

Hi Jackie, Many thanks for your great review, glad you had a lovely stay. The beach front property is special to us and we love people enjoying there stay. Great place for your daughters 40th, pleased she had a lovely birthday. Look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes, Evan Owner Property Owner

  • "A Stunning Property in a Stunning Location We could not have asked for better property or location."

Morning & afternoon walks on the beach. Then sit back and watch the sun go down over Anglesey with a glass of wine, even in winter it was hard to beat. Followed by a quick dip in the Hot Tub.(weather permitting) Kitchen is well equipped as are the bathrooms Plenty of space for 3 Generations and 3 Dogs. We had a fantastic week and would love to come back

  • "The Dunes Absolutely perfect place to stay!"

Absolutely loved our stay in The Dunes. Wowed by the quality of the furnishings and decor, and the views are breathtaking. Situated right by the sea, the views from the balconies over the waves and towards the mountains while we sipped our wine in front of the fire was amazing. The beds were super comfy so we had the best sleep. The bathrooms and en-suites are amazing and the whole place was stunningly clean. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and the dining plates and crockery are gorgeous. The hot tub was a bonus and the towels they supplied were soft and fluffy. The welcome gifts and the slippers were a lovely gesture and there was even gifts for our dog! The walks along the beach and up the Great Orme are right from the doorstep and the main town was a short walk down a lovely wide avenue. We had a tasty Sunday lunch at the local pub called the Lily which is also on the West Shore front and the little local supermarket is just around the corner which was really handy. There is parking to the front of the property and an electrical charger which we made use of as we visited Betws y Coed and Conwy during our stay. The back garden is secure with high fences so I didn’t worry about letting our dog out there. We will definitely be staying there again and can’t recommend it enough.

  • "The Dunes is perfectly situated to explore North Wales."

It is located right opposite the beach and the balcony that leads from the lounge lends itself to being able to sit in the comfy egg chairs with a coffee or glass of wine and take in the sunsets and views. The property is brand new and is fitted throughout inside with good quality furnishings. It is immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding and towels supplied were also of good quality. We visited the local sites like The Great Orme but also we easily visited Snowdonia, Conway Castle and Portmerion. Locally there are numerous places to eat and drink which are within walking distance of the house. This is an ideal base to either explore or stay in Llandudno which ever your preference maybe.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
