  • "Just returned home from a lovely break in Wales."

Lovely lodge in a lovely location with beautiful views. The lodge was clean, beautifully furnished & had a fantastic hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub took about 5 hours to reach temperature after arrival as it wasn’t switched on. We took our 2 dogs with us but the lodge isn’t completely secure but that wasn’t a problem as we were able to block the entrance to the decking easily to ensure they wouldn’t run off. Provided in the lodge were cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, hand soap, towels, bedding, family board games and a washing airer, which were all very welcomed. The reason why I’ve only rated it a 9/10 was because although it was described as having WiFi, it did not work. Unfortunately with 2 small children who get bored easily, this was a bit of a problem as there isn’t any signal in the area so kids were unable to use tablets, or use the apps on the smart TV or Google nest. Overall, I would stay again as it’s a lovely lodge but the WiFi could do with being looked at.

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear about the WiFi. This is provided by the Site, and I contacted them last week about the lack of WiFi. Apparently there was a problem in the whole area which I have since been told, has been resolved. Apologies again and hope it did not ruin your stay too much Property Owner

  • "Lovely property apart from no WiFi all weekend with three teenagers!"

!! Property was lovely, newly done out with high quality fittings, thoughtfully decorated and well considered, spacious and comfortable for a lodge and spotlessly clean. Hot tub was running when we got there on large decked area and remained at a pleasant consistent temperature of 35 degrees. The property is located at the top of a hill and is very peaceful on top of a hill. As you walk or drive down the hill there are some stunning views of the Llyn Pennisula. Everyone happy with the property until the realisation that the WiFi advertised in the brochure and on the sign up to the property was none existent within the property and only accessed down the dirt path leading up to it. As 50 somethings we were okay with this but definitely an issue for three teenagers who had been told would have WiFi as advertised. We tried to contact the owners on the numbers provided and were unable to the first night then told the owners were away and given another number but still no response so had no WiFi for the whole weekend If you are ok with no WiFi I would recommend the property itself which as I said is really lovely and in a great spot to explore the beautiful Llyn but if this is something that is important to members of the group would unfortunately say to reconsider.

  • "No Wi-Fi so would help to pre-warn."

Also local restaurants all fully booked so might be an idea to give more info on these so you can call to book. Also shower was just hot water but did sort this very quickly thanks to owner calling. Lodge very clean and lots of space.

About the location

LLITHFAEN

Nefyn 4 miles; Abersoch 12 miles.

The small village of Llithfaen is one of the highest villages on the Llyn Peninsula, enjoying some of the best views around due to its location on the slopes of the Yr Eifl mountain range. The village boasts its own community-run village shop and local pub, which was established in 1988 and offers a friendly welcome. Llithfaen is very proud of its Welsh heritage with the Welsh Language and Heritage Centre and restaurant located just up the road at Nant Gwrtheyrn, which also has a pebble beach. The pretty coastal town of Nefyn lies 4 miles away, sitting atop sweeping cliffs, and is home to a fine, two-mile stretch of sandy beach, popular with families, along with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The village is also within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli, Abersoch and Caernarfon. In nearby Porth Dinllaen is the Ty Coch pub, voted 3rd best 'beach bar' in the world in an online feature in June 2013. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and water sports are all available. The Snowdonia National Park is 25 miles away, with its dramatic scenery and abundance of superb walks.
