    Set in a tranquil and peaceful location with scenic countryside views it is perfect for relaxing or as a base for exploring nearby Llangollen and the surrounding areas.The accommodation is of a very high standard with a well equipped kitchen,a cosy seating area,very comfortable bed and a top quality bathroom make it the perfect choice.Peter and Hilary were helpful and approachable hosts answering any queries we had.A five star rating for this little gem,would have no hesitation in recommending it.   • "A very clean and comfortable cottage that we enjoyed all of the time that we stayed."

    The location was close to Llangollen and there were many local walks and attractions like the famous Aqueduct on the canal. Another plus point were the hosts Peter and Hillary who we found to be very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to visit this beautiful area of Wales.

  • "The perfect spot from which to enjoy the Eisteddfod and the lovely scenery in the area."

    Everything was spotless, and if it hadn't been quite so breezy we'd have enjoyed using the outdoor area, which is a lovely addition.

  • "This wonderful holiday property is in a quiet, country location is ideal for the town itself, many walks and to explore the surrounding area."

    The clean, cosy, comfortable annexe is extremely well laid out and has everything you need. The added attraction is the private, sun facing garden with stunning views. Peter and Hilary are exceptional hosts. Friendly, welcoming and very helpful in everything you need or want to know. We would definitely stay again and can highly recommend it.

    A perfect place to stay just out of the town but within walking distance, with beautiful views all around, ideally situated for exploring Llangollen and the surrounding Dee valley.

  • "Cam O'r Fechan is a delightful annexe in a wonderful area with extensive views from the premises."

    It is well fitted out and has everything you need. There is a private garden to the property should you wish to just have a lazy day, but it is well placed to visit many places. The owners are very helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much.

  • "Wow, what a beautiful little home from home."

    Equipped with everything you need for a great holiday even if lasing around or using it as a base to explore the area. The large Aldi super market makes life easy to and there are local take a ways and fresh bakery's in the village. Fancy a Sunday roast, look no further than The Aquaduct Inn, a roast like your Gran used to make and at a really good price. Hillary and Peter are the purfect host's with a cheery smile and lots of adivce on things to see and places to visit

    Property spot on and ideally situated for exploring the local area. Loved the peace and quiet, but it was also handy for the local shops and chippy. Our hosts Hilary and Peter were were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and they knew plenty about the area. Always a warm welcome from Waldo too

The property

Nestled among the hills on the outskirts of Llangollen is Cam O’r Fechan Annexe.

This wonderful single-storey holiday home boasts handy off-road parking for one car, a position on the outskirts of the idyllic town of Llangollen, an open-plan living space and spacious double bedroom, perfect for couples seeking a romantic retreat in North Wales.

When you arrive, make the most of the plush sofa to relax on after your long journey, or make the most of the spacious shower before settling down for a good meal in the well-equipped kitchen.

If the sun is shining, pop open a bottle of fizz and take in the rays in your private garden, perhaps eating al fresco, or just taking in the dramatic scenery from one of the sun loungers.

Cam O’r Fechan lies close to the heart of Llangollen and is only a short drive away from the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the star of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Castell Dinas Bran, Valle Crucis Abbey and Plas Newydd, home of the Ladies of Llangollen, are all worth a visit.

Make the most of the fabulous scenery on foot or on bicycle, or if you're really adventurous, canoe down the River Dee.

Ruthin 15 miles; Chester 25 miles.

The beautiful Vale of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee is the setting for this pretty tourist town, internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. Keep entertained with an exhilarating trip whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or for a more leisurely experience, unwind with a relaxing afternoon in one of the local spas! The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’.
