  • "Enjoyed a great couple of days here."

Hot tub a definite plus. A quiet location and ideally placed for us to explore Snowdonia. Hosts ensured that all was ok on our arrival and advised that they were available for any issues,... we had none and left relaxed.

  • "Lodge was lovely, clean & spacious."

Hot tub was great and in a private area, which was much better than other lodges where we have stayed. We took our dog, so having a fenced off area was ideal. We loved the log fire, really cosy for a winter break. To improve the lodge I would add mattress toppers to the beds to increase comfort, put black out curtains in the bedrooms and have a larger sofa in the lounge, an L shaped sofa in that space would have been perfect.

  • "We had a good relaxing weekend away the only downside was there is no light outside the cabin apart from 1 light which is on a sensor but not great when we were in the hot tub."

Was ok as we had a portable light which we had brought but without that we would not of been able to use the hot tub when it was darker in the evening

the lodge was well equipped, had everything we needed including really comfortable beds. The maintenance person came round to sort out a little problem we had with the shower and also called the next day to see if everything was ok. we will definitely be back for a third visit.

  • "We had a good stay but I would say that they need to put an additional toilet roll in each bathroom, one is not enough."

We only had 3 bowls for 4 people. They asked that you kept the lodge clean and tidy which we are happy to do but the mop was black and very smelly so we pushed it outside as it was making the lodge smell, the vacuum bag was full so that didn't work and there was a dustpan but no brush.

  • "In a word disgusting!"

The lodge was dirty, run down and ill equipped-had it not been for our little boy’s excitement and the 3 hour drive to get there we would’ve left after the first night. Sykes cottages have been entirely unhelpful in my complaint and it seems they have no control or knowledge of the properties they are advertising. I would suggest that anyone looking to stay here looks beyond the glowing “reviews” and investigates further-see trip advisor photos and reviews and please please save your money! The cobwebs, dust and dirt is so ingrained I don’t think this place has had a thorough clean in years! The dampness in the main bedroom and smell in the bathroom added to the issue. The rust and dirt on the bathroom radiators was so bad even my 3 and a half year old commented on the dirt! The kitchen provided a very small range of mis-matched utensils and crockery. We were given exactly 4(and no more than 4 of everything) so anyone hoping to serve up a family meal on anything other than the 4 dinner plates with 4 forks/4 knives-all mismatched you best be prepared to wash up before eating any further courses. Frying pans should’ve been thrown away years ago. Anyone describing this place as “well-equipped” or “clean” has clearly never set foot in the property or has some kind of loyalty or financial vested interest. The “luxury” holiday park is not a holiday park at all-it is 6 lodges sat next to a driving range and views consist of the back of the tweedmill shopping unit. The only positive I can add was that parking was ample due to there being very few other people stupid enough to book or stay at this place.

  • "The picture of the lounge made it seem larger than it was in reality, however other than that the place was superb."

Great location, quiet with lovely looking cabins. The occasional errant golf ball was perhaps our greatest worry. Hot tub was great after a busy day of sightseeing. Great communication when needed with admin.

  • "Fantastic weekend break with my husband and children aged 8 and 10."

Property was as described, had everything we needed and more. Fab location, so peaceful and private. Really helpful, friendly and responsive staff when it came to check in. My children are already asking when we can go back! My only very minor comments are that there wasn’t any instructions for the hot tub so it was trial and error. Also there were quite a few cobwebs, it just needs a little bit of extra attention to give it a good dust and polish everywhere and it would’ve been a 10/10. Other than that it’s a fab little cabin and can definitely see us returning again and again from now on.

  • "Absolutely beautiful park."

A perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy the peace. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back but in a bigger cabin. The fallows is perfect for a couple and two kids. My friend brought my kids up for our last night and ended up staying so we have planned another stay soon in one of the bigger cabins. The only minor negative things I can say is, the hot tub didn't have a pergola roof over it like some of the others, so the rain could put a dampner on the hot tub use. We couldn't pick up the WiFi at all throughout the stay which, wasn't a problem for us as we had data. Those two tiny problems had no impact on our stay whatsoever though.

Beautiful lodges and no noise from the roads. Rooms very spacious and facilities are clean. Would definitely go back again. Hot tubs are cleaned after each stay. Owners are on the end of a phone if any problems. Only a 20-30min drive to most areas of north wales and lovely walks nearby. Only suggestion is needs a mirror in front room of lodge we stayed in, but no other issues. Thanks for the time we spent there.

Our last three holidays have been cruises but as we now have a little dog, (Bruiser) we decided to have a week away in Wales and kept our fingers crossed for good weather, which we got, lovely sunny days with some rain overnight. The accommodation was great, no issues and everything was in the lodge that we needed, Fridge, Freezer, new cooker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, coffee maker, TV, DVD player, hot tub, BBQ and more....... Really spacious accommodation, clean and tidy, so pleased we booked here. We loved the hot tub and used it several times every day, the maintenance man came every other day to check the water and add chemicals. We used the BBQ most days for our evening meals and made parked lunches for our daytime food when we were out and about. The grounds are immaculate and the location is a perfect base for trips to the many dog friendly beaches along the coast. We will definitely book here again, all three of us were very sad to leave, lol.

There was a bees nest just under the lip of the hot tub with 6/8 bees flying round it. No bother to us though. Great log cabin, cosy and spacious, hot tub was lovely and facilities all good. The last who owned the lodge was really helpful. However, when getting in touch with Skye cottages themselves about a late check-out, they told me it wasn't possible as there was cleaners coming in. However, Claire told us there was no rush on the last day! Communication between the two obviously isn't great. The only other comment I would make, is the fairy lights were broken outside so it was a bit dark in the hot tub at night - just a little light outside would do fine.
