Views breath taking. Near to everything. Games room brilliant. Overwhelmed by the location. We usually holiday in South Wales. Definitely consider the north. Ffestiniog railway breathtaking at Xmas. Northern Welsh very hospitable. Beaches wonderful. The cottage was to die for.

  • "Our 3rd time at The Stables."

We love the place and love the area. We had a very wet fortnight, but the conservatory is so nice that it didn't matter. The sheep in the field opposite kept the dogs amused. In between the showers we were on the magnificent Black Rock sands (20 min walk or 5 min drive). where the dogs ran off their energy. Normally we would be walking in the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains but with the weather, so just had a relaxing time. Can't wait until next time

  • "We had a fabulous stay at The Stables."

The cottage was clean and comfortable. The only (very) minor issues I had was that there were not enough dinner plates for us (we were a family of 3 - there were only 2 dinner plates!), and there was no bottle-opener/ corkscrew. The boys loved the games room and I was taken aback by how large the conservatory and patio area were! Much more spacious than I had expected. We would definitely consider coming back! Location-wise, it is also excellent, tucked away amongst fields and sheep but not far from the beach. Thank you so much for accommodating us!

Hello Emma I'm pleased you had a good time. I read your feedback yesterday and called the guests in The Stables they said they were 8 side plates and 8 dinner plates and there was a green corkscrew / bottle opener in the draw which is the one that's been there for years. Im really not sure how you've missed them.. There should be 12 of everything. One set being used, one set in the dishwasher, one set spare. If you have any issues WHATSOEVER please call me and i will get it resolved straightaway. Best Wishes Paul Property Owner

  • "Fabulous cottage ."

Very clean and tidy . Good views. As the property was dog friendly we took out two dogs . The garden area was not fenced in , so there was a narrow road , which was fairly busy with cars , walkers , bikes sheep across the road ( which were stock proofed). The only are for the dogs was a slate terrace which one dog could get through the fencing and at both ends . This ruined our holiday as we could not relax. The cottage was very clean until it did a ' four in a bed' and looked beneath the top sheet , the mattress topper and its cover were stained with bodily fluids. We left early due to a family emergency.

Thank you for your feedback and we hope that all is well regarding your family emergency that caused you to leave early. I can confirm that there is a private rear lawn area and an enclosed patio with a four foot fence, but I am sure that you can appreciate that any enclosed area may not be totally secure for your dogs, due to the size and temperament of the particular breed of dog. We have checked the mattress topper for stains and can see that some of the bedding has been washed by yourselves as there is a blueish tinge on the white bedding. The bedding and toppers are changed by the cleaners after every guests' stay. Property Owner

  • "We have enjoyed the stay at this relaxing, beautiful, spacious little cottage !"

I’ve seen a couple of reviews about parking but we were in a 3.5T horsebox with our dogs and it was absolutely fine coming down the lane, just a little tight at the entry that’s all but if we managed then any car would be able to. It was windy and rained most of the days we’ve stayed but we spent the time we were in at the conservatory so we didn’t feel like we were trapped in the house because of the bad weather. 7-8 mins drive to a very quiet beach with dogs so we had pretty much the whole beach to ourselves, dogs absolutely loved it. 5 mins away from the supermarkets, petrol stations, take aways and there are few nice restaurants so very convenient. The only thing is the garden - there’s only patio area / (no pebbles at all ) led from the conservatory is enclosed, the grass areas at the side of the house aren’t fenced off at all and it’s a 6 foot drop / wall from the grass to the road. There isn’t enough lighting around that area and we arrived in the dark, our dog fell down the drop / wall. Luckily he is a big lab, he was fine but we thought he broke his legs to start with. We had to watch our dogs every time we let them out so that’s inconvenient and a bit worrying for us but manageable as long as you are aware of the drop and your dog listens. Wish they have a king size bed instead of double but that’s just us as I have a snoring fidgety boyfriend at night

Hello Sharon Thank you for your feedback , its really appreciated. I remember your enquiry via Sykes, asking to possibly bring an additional dog , and I was happy to agree to your request. You also asked if there was a secure garden , and I replied that only the patio area was secure , and steps via a gate go onto an open garden. With regards to the lighting, there are two lights on the entrance which are on a dusk till dawn sensor, there is a PIR flood light which lights up the whole parking areas for the Stables and front entrance to the Stables ( Im aware you had a large horse box so I'm wondering if that blocked the light from the floodlight which was positioned to the left of your horsebox) There are up and down lighters on a PIR at the front entrance and there are also PIR up and down lighters next to the steps at the conservatory rear side door. I feel that I have all areas covered for lighting but would welcome your comments for any further recommendations that would make any improvements to the property. Thank you again for your feedback. • "On arrival the oven did not work and a lot of time could have been saved if detailed instructions were left."

under the beds were very dirty and there were lots of dogs hairs on the carpet and furniture which we had to thoroughly clean as we have allergies. The lights above the dining table were faulty and could not be used during Christmas dinner which was rather irritating. Also there are insufficient bin storage outside.

Thank you for your feedback its very much appreciated, we're sorry to hear you had issues with your stay. We understand that you had an issue with the oven and managed to get it working , the full instruction booklet on how to work the oven is in the welcome manual and further to our text message conversation that you just need to set the timer. In regards to the lights being a problem, if you would of let me know we could of got them fixed during your stay. I thought it may of been just needing the dimmers turning up as i advised you but with not hearing from you further we believed that to be rectified. If you would of let us know regarding the bins we could of got them emptied as another guest called me and we got two bins emptied straight away. We are at hand to assist all of our guests and provide contact details should they wish to get in touch. Once again thank you for staying with us. Property Owner
