  • "15 Clitheroe is a beautiful house, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay."

Skipton centre is a 10 minute stroll along the canal towpath, which is a really lovely walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our week's break here. Tania, the owner, is a great communicator, and it's clear that the comfort of your stay is of utmost importance to her. We will definitely be staying here again.

I always try my best to communicate with my guests because the comfort of your stay is very important and valued by me. I appreciate the time and thought you've taken to write me a review. I hope you will return for a visit in the near future. Have a lovely few weeks of holiday festivities. Property Owner

  • "Everything about the holiday was excellent."

I would not recommend Sykes to anyone, because of their treatment of customer complaints, and ignoring praise when given. In terms of my complaint, sykes advertises the Stables in Todmorden as having "wi fi". It does not have it's own wi-Fi , but can if you stand in the kitchen piggy back onto the owners WI Fi in their property. Which means you can't access it on the TV or your phones apart from the kitchen. I have stated that this should be clear on Sykes website. Despite my letters, it has not changed. And Sykes apparent standard response is to ignore customers letters of complaint, instead of positively engaging with people, Overall, the properties you feature are very good, and the process through Sykes is also good. Out of about 12 stays 10 have been very good, and two were poor, that's 80% which is good.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Really cosy and comfortable. Decor was fun and tasteful and everything was well kept. There was one tiny thing which is a faulty plug socket in the main bedroom near the foot of the bed. Otherwise it was great. Would book again!

Thank you for your feedback, I was unaware that one of the plug sockets in the bedroom was faulty. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will certainly look at having this fixed as soon as I can book the electrician in. I also appreciate your kind comment on the how cosy and comfortable you found the accommodation and the thoughtful appreciation of the decor. Property Owner

  • "This is a beautiful little cottage (very stylishly refurbished) with everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing holiday."

In a week of indifferent weather, we were still able to enjoy morning coffee and an early evening glass of wine in the clean and bright courtyard - a real bonus. The location was ideal for us - a short walk to the train and bus stations (we used public transport all through our stay), and a lovely stroll along the canal path quickly took us to Skipton woods and Castle, and the many eating out opportunities in the town centre.

Thank you for your lovely comments and tips for other viewers. I’m so happy you had a great staycation and once again thank you for your review. Property Owner

  • "What a lovely property, very well furnished, immaculately clean, and comfortable."

The owner has given 15 Clitheroe a great deal of thought and it shows. Although there isn’t a private parking space we had no problem finding a spot either just outside or within yards of the front door. Just a short stroll to Skipton high street with so many shops, cafes, and restaurants. We had a wonderful week, thank you.

Thank you for a lovely review your comments are fabulous. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay . Skipton is such a hub of activities and good base to go out exploring. I hope you visit again. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "Superb Accommodation and a Great Location."

The property is very tastefully decorated and is so comfortable. The location is great with a five minute walk to train station and a further three minute walk to Morrisons, with hub of the town only a few minutes farther walk away. The leisurely walk into town along the canal towpath is easy and has benches along the way to sit and take in the passing barges. 15 Clitheroe has got everything that it says in the description. The Welcome pack with Tea & Coffee, fresh Milk and Biscuits was very much appreciated and the Surprise bottle of Wine in the fridge got us off to a great start to our holiday. This is a fantastic base for discovering the Yorkshire Dales and the owner certainly kept us informed of places and things to see and do. We would Certainly Recommend 15 Clitheroe and we will surely return again. Duncan & Janet & Margaret

  • "15 Clithero, Skipton, is now the firm favourite, it’s a home from home."

The layout flows nicely. So many personal touches, like that amazing glass picture above the fire. A lot of care has been taken in decorating and furnishing it. It’s very clean and tidy, the kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. The built in furniture in the main bedroom is first class. The cottage is in a great position - canal walks to the station and town centre, peaceful, and steps away from the Chinese takeaway, and a coffee and bacon sandwich hut on the nearby industrial estate. Skipton is known as the gateway to the dales, but as a town it has so much to offer, individual original shops, friendly people. 10/10

Thank you Ruth for your lovely feedback. Your attention to the detail of the house is greatly appreciated. I did put a lot of thought when putting the finishing touches to the furnishings and accessories and what guests would need to feel comfortable during their vacation. I’m so glad you liked Skipton and what it has to offer to every taste. It’s a great market town. You were a perfect guest and I hope you visit again. Thank you once again. Property Owner

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel.
