"Wow! What an absolutely stunning property, we were very sad to leave and will definitely be returning."
Everything was pristine, and it was such a lovely layout. The kitchen was a dream and it had everything we needed to cook all our meals (which is often not the case!) The TV in every room was certainly a nice surprise, it all felt so luxurious from the bedding to the bathrooms and the automatic light in the walk in wardrobe in the master bedroom was fabulous! The box of toys for our baby to play with for the week was such a nice touch and very useful!! Thank you so much, we will be back!

"As soon as we walked in we felt at home."
The kitchen is superb,plenty of space and
enough cooking and eating utensils
The living room is snug and cosy and very clean.
Upstairs the bedrooms are huge with plenty of storage and very comfortable beds with shower rooms that would shame most hotels.
The cottage is situated in the countryside and is quiet and peaceful with some lovely long walks.Finally the owner was ever so friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed staying so much we booked for another break in a few weeks time.

This is a beautiful cottage which we enjoyed sharing with friends, the kitchen/diner is a lovely sociable space. The lounge was cosy and the sofas comfortable. We slept really well in the excellent beds. Just perfect again.

The property is very comfortable, well equipped, in immaculate condition and very clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful and there is ample parking.
The nearest village, with a pub and cafe is a 5 minute drive away (40 minute walk) along a narrow single track road and Market Weighton is another 5 minutes drive where you will find a Tesco and numerous pubs, restaurants and take aways. It's a good base to explore East Yorkshire, less than an hour to the coast and York is close by too.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend this property.

"This is a nice comfortable cottage with hotel standard bathrooms."
There are a couple things not mentioned in the given information about the accommodation, firstly it is beside a country road with a cars, lorries and farm vehicles use, secondly and very much more important, the water for cottage is from a bore hole, those who have any vulnerability need to be aware. This information is given in pack once you have arrived which was a bit late for my husband and I, we were unwell for couple days. The owner was very apologetic and assured us water was treated and filtered. We were just unlucky, so go with plenty of bottled water. Lovely friendly owners with three very quiet young children rarely seen or heard.

"Absolutely fabulous."
This is by far the best accommodation my husband and I have ever stayed in, and we have been self-catering for many years. Everthing was perfect, from the well equipped kitchen - such high quality fixtures and utensils - to the wonderfully comfortable beds. The sheets and pillows are better than I have at home! The en-suite shower rooms also exceeded expectation, again with fitxures of the highest quality. A very quiet location within easy reach of many villages, towns and cities. And the host Joanna was very pleasant and helpful. All in all a 5*+ cottage, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Find an excuse to stay there and you won't want to go home.

"We knew this property was going to be good from the photos, but in practice it exceeded our best expectations."
It was very warm, comfortable and well equipped, as well as the provision of good quality bed linen and thick towels such as you would expect in a top class hotel. We really didn't want to leave! Unfortunately we missed out on booking this cottage for the Christmas week as well and had to move on to another cottage. This reinforced just how good The Groom's Cottage is and it was extremely hard not to make comparisons. We look forward to returning.

Amazing kitchen so well equiped and a great welcome pack including soya milk for me ......first time this has ever been offered .....thankyou. Bedrooms were great and lovely ensuites, so nice to have . A full length mirror in the far bedroom would be useful. Friendly hosts on hand to help if needed, lovely setting and plenty of parking. We drove to York and used the park and ride which was very easy and also visited the Railway Musuem and York Minster plus the Shambles shops . So much to do in York , we wish we could have stayed longer. Recommend the fish and chips in Market Weighton. We would certainly stay here again if in the area , overall a great time and would recommend Grooms Cottage

"We loved our stay so much we could easily have moved in so will definitely be booking to stay again."
We stayed for a week and felt very comfortable, everything was spotless and had all the facilities we needed including lots of extras in the kitchen cupboards such as baking trays, cheese grater and spare tea towel. It had an easy to use washing machine which was great for us being able to pack clean clothes to take back instead of having to do it once home.
Our beds were excellent and we enjoyed being able to watch TV in bed early morning with our toddler like we do at home. The owners were available if needed and were very welcoming with 2 very friendly dogs who came to say hello to my little girl which she loved. Its located on their working farm but they didn't wake us or disturb us in any way it was generally very peaceful and lovely to hear the birds singing.
The cottage is located a short car journey from Market Weighton which had several take aways and a little supermarket which we used and the local pub in Goodmanham was lovely for a couple of drinks and peaceful in their garden to.the side which had a little children's area.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend, thanks for making our stay so comfortable and also our little welcome pack which was very thoughtful
