  • "We had a lovely time."

Everything was extremely clean. Lovely decorated!

  • "A well renovated and sparkling clean property with close attention to detail and mainly well equipped."

Great shower! The village isn't pretty but it's an ideal location to explore the beautiful coastline, including Saltburn, Sandsend and Whitby, plus inland North Yorkshire. There's a regular coastal bus line with a stop virtually outside the house. Parking was easy on the road. Bill was a very helpful and responsive host, particularly when there was a problem with the washing machine.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage, this was our second stay at Richmond Cottage and the facilities truly don't dissapoint."

Ideally placed for trips up and down the North Yorkshire coast and a short trip inland to the North Yorkshire Moors for the peace and tranquility they provide. Best of all is Skiiningrove beach / Cattersty sands for exercising the dog which is just a stones throw away and the Carlin How working mens club which was very welcoming and less than a minutes walk away.

  • "Comfy little home from home."

Spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our weekend break. Shame we had to bring Storm Babette with us. On the whole. A Fab little gaff. Would certainly recommend. PS. Would be more doggy friendly with a gate on the back porch.

  • "We had a lovely 4 night break as a family of 4 (kids age 12 and 13)."

The house was very welcoming, warm and cosy and spotlessly clean. Everything you see is of a very high standard. The owners provided extra nice touches such as a welcome pack, milk in the fridge, towels and buckets and spades for the beach, throws and blankets if taking your dog. There was also board games, cards and reading books provided which were great for after dinner games. The beds were extremely comfortable, lots of storage and great shower room with the best shower. The kitchen is the best equipped I have used self catering. Everything from every pot and pan to a Tassimo coffee machine. There is an attic snug off the second bedroom, which makes a nice area for kids to hang out. I would suggest a TV would be a good addition to this space. The parking is on street outside the house but we did not have any issues finding a space. The house is beside a main road which can be noisy if sitting outside during the day but not an issue inside the house or on an evening. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would definately book to stay here again.

Thank you for your comprehensive feedback. It's much appreciated. You're welcome to stay any time. Property Owner
