  • "A very pleasant few days, cannot fault the property."

Enjoyed watching the goings on in the farmyard, especially seeing the sheep being milked. The farmers all friendly to chat with.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the Granary, a real home from home."

A very clean, tidy property which had everything we needed, plus many more that we could have used had we stayed longer. The Granary provided a great base for everywhere we wanted to visit including Harrogate and Leeds. If we ever return to the area we hope to stay here again. Since our return have also recommended the Granary to family and friends. Thank you for being great hosts.

  • "Stayed there for a week in July."

An exceptionally well furnished and equipped quaint cottage with its old worldly charm but with a modern twist in relation to comfort and facilities. Spacious, airy, good WiFi connection, smart tv, games and dvds for days in. Convenient location to explore the Dales, York and Harrogate and other cities as well as the Yorkshire coast by car. The only negative is it is close to the main road and if the windows are open, it can be noisy. Overall, it was home from home for us and would have no hesitation in recommending it and staying there again.

It was clean, comfortable and extremely well stocked with every appliance one could need whilst on vacation. The owners are very friendly and most obliging. It’s very central with a lot of sites to visit.

  • "This was an excellent holiday and much of that was due to this superb property."

So spacious and comfortable, clean and relaxing. I was very happy with the range of appliances - everything you could possibly need. Large comfortable bed, all linen good quality and fresh. Interiors lovely - lot of thought and design in every room. There is even a very nice garden for the property and lots of bird life around the farm, including swallows, sparrows, red kites, warblers. Friendly owners and people on the farm always pleasant. I was totally happy with The Granary.

A lovely kitchen full of everything you could possibly need, an incredibly comfy bed (high praise indeed from two people with back problems!), great shower, cosy living room looking out over the fields. A very relaxing atmosphere, so nice to curl up with a book in the living room on one of the days when it rained!! We enjoyed it so much we will be booking again for a return stay next year.

  • "Excellent facilities and location."

The only thing to recommend would be a thicker mattress topper. Perhaps a memory foam type. This would stop you feeling the join between the two singles in the middle.

  • "Excellent cottage, very clean and well equipped."

Perhaps the only thing I'd say is that there was no welcome on arrival, just go inside and get on with unpacking and finding the things you might want etc. But that is not enough of an issue to reduce the rating below 5 stars... excellent overall.

It is spacious and warm. The only slight niggle is the seating in the lounge. The settee is not too bad but the chair is just uncomfortable. Overall though, The Granary is fantastic and we will definitely be back.

We did find the chair and sofa in the lounge a bit uncomfortable . The out side stair and the approach to the front door wasn't good. The moss was very think on the top step and due to the wet weather could become very slippery, as was the wooden hand rails of the stairs.
