  • "Enjoyable and comfortable stay in Hoot Cottage."

Parking outside. The cottage is small but very cosy for two. Lovely bedroom, excellent bathroom, we loved the walk-in shower. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed, including very sharp knives. There was a generous welcome pack, bread, milk, beer, etc. which was lovely and very welcome after a long drive. It's ideal for a visit to Haworth and surrounding countryside. Corner shop just over the road. It’s walkable down and up into Haworth, bit steep in parts. There are local buses that can take you up there from just around the corner. We used the bus to get back after the pub! Louise, the host was friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Would recommend.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "A little too far to walk into Howarth village for us thought reading description it was nearer ."

Just to mention we were unable a couple of times to open the lounge door it was really stuck but with a tug we got it open other than that really enjoyed our stay

Thank you for your feedback. The door handle is brand new and was a little stiff it is now rectified. Haworth station is 800 yards from the cottage I appreciate this could be too far for some to walk but there is a regular bus service, and a local taxi company. Glad you enjoyed your stay in our lovely village. Property Owner

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
