  • "The lodge is lovely - clean and comfy, but lacking in a couple of areas."

The seating area could do with a couple of smaller, softer lamps. The ceiling lights are far too bright for relaxing at night. The kitchen is lacking a few things such as condiments - we have never had to take these items to the many holiday homes we have stayed at. There was only 1 toilet roll in each of the 2 toilets. Our main dissatisfaction was the site. This was very basic. The older residential caravans when first entering the site are a bit of an eyesore, and the "bar" is never open (bit of misrepresentation in the description I think here). BBQs not allowed on site!! Dogs have to be walked on a short lead and only to exit the park - to go where? The A64 is hardly a dog friendly dog walking area.

Thank you for your comments. We are looking to change a few things which some you have suggested. Unfortunately we can't do anything about the site or the site rules or the position of the site. There is two good walks which we have provided in the visitor pack for dog walkers . One can be done from the camp site and the other can be done after a short drive. Property Owner

  • "Lodge was immaculately clean and tidy with plenty of everything we needed in kitchen."

A couple of slight problems which didn’t really affect our holiday. Bedroom door didn’t close properly and front patio doors one wouldn’t open and close properly. (Left a note for owner) As stated did not affect our stay and all together a very pleasant site with dog walks very nearby and others were very friendly and helpful

Thank you for your feedback these two issues will be addressed pleased you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "Very clean very nice caravan Problem with waste made it a very smelly stay unfortunately Residents on site are a law to themselves no bbqs allowed yet all the long term touring vans and carvans hve then and where using them."

Only one car allowed even though the lower portion of the park was empty and two caravans we noticed had multiple cars.. and we booked for three people working away with ££££ worth of tools having to be left in the back of a van next to a big layby with no lighting and very easy to break into on the aide of the a64 No waste bins on site luckily we were able to take them and dispose of them at our work Place. The guy working with us had a dog and he jumped the decking on the first day, there where also no signs anywhere regarding dogs to be kept on leads and as one of us booked on behalf of us all we never got the emails he did stating that, accidents happen and was made sure it didnt happen again. We got a personal call off the owner of the caravan we where staying in saying people(lady in bottom caravan, very rude and no manners mouth like a troth) moning about a dog being off the lead found that abit rude at 9.30pm whilst all trying relax And saying rhe dog was left on own barking witch was not the case as one chap fell Off the ladder on the first day and was bed bound for a week we stayed, we felt interrogated and the chap layed up said the next day after the call the groundsman was found lurking around the van and knocked the door after being told prior there is a chap there 24/7 layed up This shouldnt happen if you are coming away to relax and enjoy a holiday lucky for us all we where there on a working week. Grounds are very clean as was the caravan itself bar the smell witch os due to a waste issue Outside of the van not the caravan itself Lovely welcome gift in the way of a bottle of wine and dog treats wrapped in a bow Water pressure is very good. We ran out of gas the evening before we left wasnt ideal when three guys needed shower but again that cannot be helped Lady in reception very nice very friendly and helpful allways smiling that goes a long way. Bar was not open all week and not one local for a couple of miles. Would we stay again no not for work or a holiday based on the fact of someone snooping around the van and calls from the actual caravan owner at 9.30 at night we stay away regularly and have never had this
