  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bankside Cottage."

It is a situated in a beautiful location with a friendly, welcoming pub literally on the doorstep! The cottage itself was very clean and roomy, well decorated with stunning views. Also very well situated and not very far from a lovely town called Richmond with plenty to do.

  • "Had a good stay at Bankside Cottage."

Quiet location with very comfortable beds made for an excellent sleep. Well enough equipped for our stay in a nice village with pub a short stroll away if required. WiFi worked well once connected. Nice garden area if there in summer with view onto fields beyond. Great area around Hunton to explore this lovely county and not far from A1 which is a plus. The downside was heating upstairs with radiators behind large decorative covers and turned off...very cold in February! Living room also a bit 'tired', both furniture and decor, wee freshen up would definitely help... All in all a good property and an enjoyable break away.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback George. I am glad the beds allowed, I am sure, for a well deserved rest and catch up on good quality sleep. The Countryman Inn epitomises a Yorkshire Village Pub and bonus...it is community owned! I am sorry to hear you were a little cold and could not get the radiators to kick out enough heat. All heating is controlled electronically via the HIVE panel in the living room (the radiator valves are all open and not to be touched) so hopefully we can welcome you back to stay again and this would not be an issue for you. Regarding décor we would hope the cottage was a reflection of its 17th century character with modern fitments and charm. We have lots of wiggly walls and cosy sofas to curl up on. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Bankside Cottage soon! Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely, it was in the perfect location for our trip with all the family and activities planned close by and shops etc within a convenient distance."

The neighbourhood was lovely, quiet and very nice for walking the dog when we were having a quieter day to relax. The cottage itself had everything we required in the way of kitchen utensils and the bedrooms were lovely, a clean bathroom and a lovely garden for our dog.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback Aimee. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Bankside Cottage. Hunton is a lovely village to enjoy picturesque dog walks. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Bankside Cottage soon! Property Owner

Had issues with heating and water but other than that the cottage and surroundings were lovely communicating with sykes was a problem the cottage was very homely and comfortable

Hi Glyn, thank you for choosing to stay with us at Bankside Cottage. Great to hear you found our cottage to be homely and comfortable. We are sorry you had an issue with the heating. However, once informed of this issue we had a plumber out to you within 48 hours which resolved this. Our property manager supplied you with extra heaters immediately until the plumber arrived. Unfortunately this was out of our control and a 'winter hiccup' which we hope you agree, was handled proactively. Property Owner
