  • "Absolutely beautiful holiday home."

It has everything you need for your stay. The owners are so friendly and helpful they made our stay extra special, leaving a lovely welcome pack and balloons for our birthday celebrations. The only thing I would say is that I should've booked a longer stay! I definitely will be booking this home again, loved it!

it was so lovely to host you and I'm so so glad you all enjoyed your birthday celebrations. The gifts you left were heartwarming and the house was immaculate and we really appreciate it. We really hope you come back to see us soon. Best wishes Katey and Andrew. Property Owner

  • "Property was easy to locate via satnav, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped."

We have stayed at many properties over the last few years and this was possibly the best equipped we have been to. Katey and Andrew have literally thought of everything you might need during your stay and respond to any queries you might have quickly and helpfully. Beds were large and super comfy. Location is beautiful with walks and places of interest to visit locally plentiful. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely use again if available.

  • "An absolutely beautiful house, set in gorgeous surroundings."

The house is of a very high standard and has absolutely everything you need for a perfect stay. We took our dog, and the house and garden are perfectly secure for your furry friend. We love the location in general, and if you enjoy walking or mountain biking, we thoroughly recommend nearby Hamsterley Forest, somewhere we where already familiar with. Overall, we cannot recommend Forestside View. Andrew and Katey are wonderful hosts - being there if you need them, but also leaving you in peace to enjoy your holiday. We are already planning our next visit.

  • "This property has been renovated to the highest possible standards."

It’s simply fantastic. We’ve just returned home from 10. Superb nights. We always look for minimum four star, preferably five. This is by far the best property we’ve stayed in in the UK. Katey and her family live two minutes away, and are super helpful. Nothing being too much trouble. There is off-road parking for a minimum of 4/5 cars The lawned garden wraps around the property with a table and a seating area and a barbecue area. The views from the garden are fantastic, uninterrupted panoramic views of all the open countryside. The best view is to the west where you see the forest and the hills, and it’s relaxing, watching the sunset On entering the property through the front porch to the left of the hallway is the large kitchen diner and lounge To the right of the hallway is the downstairs double bedroom which is of a good size next to. That is a brilliant utility room with plenty of space for storage and a spare fridge. Next to that is the downstairs wet room which is six star. absolutely fantastic with the rain shower with attachment, wash basin and WC Upstairs there are two double bedrooms both are good size one being twin beds there’s a shower room with rain shower and attachment basin and WC. The main bedroom is an excellent size with an ensuite consisting of bath, rainshower attachments above wash basin and WC. All fitted to the highest possible standard. The beds are extremely comfortable. The property is a great position to explore County Durham with all the wonderful history and scenery. We will definitely return Wishing everyone happy holidays. Cheers.

  • "This house - and the views from it - is gorgeous."

In a lovely unspoiled, quiet location but so many things to see and do not far away. Katey was the most top host who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - quite perfect in every way and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you!

Hi Brenda. We loved having you and your family stay with us. A huge thanks for being perfect guests and for the kind feedback. We look forward very much to you staying with us in beautiful Teesdale again. ❤️❤️ Katey and Andrew. Property Owner

  • "This is an absolute gem of a holiday home."

From start to finish the owners could you not do enough to ensure our comfort and convenience. The standard of the accommodation was outstanding with every bedroom and bathroom being of luxury hotel quality. The owners provided a very generous welcome pack for humans and dogs, which was appreciated very much. The garden is enclosed and safe for dogs and children to run free, and the views on all sides are extensive. There are walks from the property but historic sites are also just short drives away. If you're up for a longer drive (about an hour) then Blackhall beach is worth a visit for a rugged beach walk. This beach suffered during its industrial past but now offers a much under-used coastal experience. Search 'Blackhall beach car park' for directions to straightforward free access to the beach. We had a great few days at this property and thank the owners very much.

These are such kind words. Thank you so much. We are thrilled you had an amazing time in our hidden gem of a holiday home. Thanks for leaving the house so clean, you are welcome back anytime. Property Owner
