  • "This was my second stay at Tommy’s."

As last time the property was sparkling clean, warm and comfortable. The property is close enough to the city centre and shops to be convenient but far enough away to be a nice quiet place to stay. Off road parking is really important to me and there’s room for two cars on the drive. I will definitely book the property again when I next come up to Inverness and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

  • "I had a lovely week at Tommy’s."

I was out on the hills every day in some pretty brutal weather so it was nice to come back to a warm, clean and comfortable home. Off street parking is important to me and you can fit two cars easily on the drive. The property is located in a convenient location for restaurants and bars and despite this I found it to be remarkably quiet. The bed is super comfortable. Unusually for a holiday cottage it is really warm and there is plenty of hot water, the shower is great and the kitchen is well stocked and the oven is fast to heat and everything in the kitchen works well. The sofas are also comfortable so staying in is a pleasure. There was a lovely welcome pack including some chocolate biscuits which was gratefully received when I arrived after a ten hour drive to Inverness. The owners are lovely and can’t do enough for you. I can’t recommend Tommy’s highly enough and I’ve just rebooked it for a trip in February.

Many thanks Jeremy for your most kind review and thankyou for choosing to stay at “ Tommys” . Your comments are most helpful for future guests wishing to stay . I am glad the cottage was favourable for you and that your trip went well having travelled such a long way by car . We look forward to you meeting you again in February . Have a great Xmas Kindest regards, Janet & Tommy Property Owner

  • "Spacious property for 2 people, on a quiet street, only a short (scenic) walk into city centre."

A great base for exploring the Highlands. Off road parking was appreciated. Kitchen well equipped and plenty of linen/towels provided. Shower was terrific - we could have stayed in it all day! Outdoor area is nice to sit in if you get the weather (we did!) Welcome basket provided was a nice touch, though Aldi is only 2 mins away. All logistics went perfectly and would happily recommend.

Many thanks Simon for your kind review . It is very much appreciated .Thankyou too for your kind care of the cottage . I am glad your week went well and that all was favourable for you ( including the weather!) We wish you all the best . Kindest regards, Janet & Tommy Property Owner

  • "We had the most enjoyable 2 weeks at Tommy's, the welcome pack was such a delightful surprise and saved us rushing off to shop."

Spotlessly clean with pretty much all you need for self catering. Plenty of linen, cutlery and crockery. So convenient to shops, pubs, restaurants and many activities. Tommy and Janet were divine hosts, nothing was too much trouble and their local knowledge was invaluable. Janet's marmalade and cakes were to die for. My only suggestion, a big mat on the sitting room floor and coat hooks at the front door. Highly recommended, would stay again.

Hello Christine & Ian . Many thanks for your most kind review . We do appreciate it and glad we could contribute well to your holiday . It was a pleasure to meet you both . And Thankyou for your helpful suggestions of improving the comfort in the cottage . We hope your ongoing journey West will be memorable too . About the location

INVERNESS

North Kessock 5.9 miles; Dores 9.2 miles; Tomatin 15.5 miles.

The Capital of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is the gateway to the countless delights of the Highlands of Scotland. Towering mountains, dark lochs, great forests and precipitous sea cliffs are all within easy reach. Of particular note is the legendary Loch Ness, which is surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery, although most visitors are usually on the lookout for something a bit more mysterious! Just outside the city is the Culloden Battlefield at Culloden Moor (National Trust). The site of the last major battle fought on British soil, there is an award-winning display depicting the battle, whilst a walk on the field serves as a poignant reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives. Inverness itself has much to offer, museums, an art gallery, fine theatre and leisure facilities, not to mention shops, pubs and restaurants. The River Ness flows through the city and both the river and neighbouring Moray Firth are home to a diverse range of wildlife and marine life including red kites, along with dolphins, which can sometimes be seen from the shore, or on trips from the harbour.
