  • "This was a perfect place for a small family group to spend a few days."

Pub, shop and pleasant walks on the doorstep, and also a good base for exploring Northumberland's beaches and castles. We found all we needed during our stay and everything was in good condition.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and had everything you needed. The whole village is delighted that the pub has re-opened! It provides a warm welcome for all and will be offering food once the kitchen has been refurbished later this year. Lesbury Community Shop is largely run by volunteers and stocks household goods, newspapers, fresh fruit and veg, dairy (including ice cream), meat, bread and cakes, frozen goods and alcohol. And it has an excellent coffee machine serving hot drinks to enjoy in the shop or on the go! Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Willow Cottage."

It was wonderfully clean (perhaps the cleanest we've experienced) and the heating was on so the cottage was cosy when we arrived. Everything we needed was there in a lovely environment. We all had a lovely stay and will definitely be back!

Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and that you had everything you needed. We look forward to welcoming you back! Property Owner

  • "Quiet location in a lovely village- perfect base for exploring the area."

Lovely comfortable & cosy cottage, well maintained & clean. Very well equipped, though a couple more mugs would be useful (when using dishwasher).

Thank you for the feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I will definitely sort out some more mugs. Property Owner

  • "Cottage is so lovely and comfortable."

Everything there that you need. Lovely soft bath towels too! Cottage is close to all places to visit and the location of the cottage is so peaceful and quiet allowing you to unwind. It’s a shame that there isn’t a local pub within walking distance as then it would have been perfect for us as we wouldn’t have had to use the car at all. Our only complaint that we can think of if asked was that it is a little untidy at the back of the cottage as you walk out of the gate (lots of weeds on the gravel). Other than that this cottage is just perfect. We will definitely be returning again! Thank you

We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back! Unfortunately the weather this year has been fantastic for the weeds. We aren't keen on using weedkillers because of their effects on our wildlife and despite regular hand weeding they just keep on appearing. I'll get back at them this week! Property Owner

  • "Cottage was perfect for what we needed."

Clean and well equipped. My only negatives would be water pressure (bath takes so long to fill) although I know this is probably an area wide issue? Also definitely need a nest of tables for coffee cups etc., Maintenance wise- the yard and area behind needs weeding - we still enjoyed it but as a holiday home owner myself I know some guests would complain.

Thanks for the feedback and your suggestions. We are pleased that you found the cottage clean and well equipped. The water pressure is lowish in the Square as a whole - it is plenty for a good shower though. Thank you for the suggestion of coffee tables for the sitting room, we have now added a nest of coffee tables including one big enough for jigsaws etc. Finally, thanks for the heads up about the patio and back lane - we did sort the patio are quite recently but the weeds have definitely been enjoying all the rain. We will tidy this ASAP Property Owner

  • "A comfortable cottage, very clean and well equipped, perfect for two of us in the double bedroom."

Slightly more hemmed in than we had imagined but appreciated the car parking (one medium sized car) and the little courtyard for sitting out. A very pleasant stay.

Thank you for your feedback - we are really pleased that you enjoyed your holiday and had everything you needed. Willow Cottage is part of a historic row of millworkers' cottages which are tucked away in The Square, in the Lesbury Conservation Area. We hope you'll agree that it has been sympathetically extended and restored. We're also glad that the weather enabled you to enjoy time outside in the courtyard! Property Owner
