Alnwick 4 miles.

The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore.

Previous visitors' comments about Jackson Cottage:
This is the second cottage we have stayed in belonging to Bilton Barns and they are of an exceptional high standard. Jackson Cottage was an ideal base for us to explore the local area and we will certainly be re-booking.

Good location within a very pleasant village. Sea views were better than we expected and there was a good choice of places to eat. Well organised arrangements from Sykes Cottages.
