  • "We had a pleasant stay at this lovely cottage."

Ideal base for exploring beautiful Northumberland. Woodburner was a treat for us, as we dont have one at home. Comfortable bolthole on the rainy days too.

  • "Henhill Lodge was a wonderful place to stay to visit Northumberland!"

The lodge was wonderfully clean and very well equipped for cooking while staying. It was quiet and had beautiful views of the sea in the distance. The garden was enclosed fully for our dog. We had a great stay and would hope to return in future!

  • "One of the nicest cottages we've stayed in."

Clean tidy and warm, comfortable and quiet. Could do with a grab handle in the bath shower area, just for the less nimble oldies to climb in and out of bath/shower. Sea houses down the road and sea views weather allowing. Loved it cheers.

  • "We had a lovely warm stay at the cottage."

It has been renovated to a high standard and had everything you would expect. The distant sea view was a bonus! It’s a great location to be based from with lots of great castles, beaches and pubs to explore by car.

  • "A lovely cottage in the countryside close to many local attractions."

Very well finished internally with everything you need for your stay. The utility room is a bonus for feeding/cleaning a muddy dog! The kitchen is very well equipped and the living area is nicely furnished. The patio doors lead out onto the decking with steps down to the grassed area, which, as stated still needs some work but will be lovely when the weather allows work to be done. The space is very secure for a dog to go out safely. The only problem I had was that the bathroom cabinet must have been fitted by a very tall person as I could only see the top of my head! I would definitely recommend this cottage.

  • "All the facilities at Henhill Lodge were excellent."

It had obviously been recently refurbished. It was very warm and comfortable and although we didn’t need the log burner it was nice to have it on a bitterly cold night. Having the utility room was great and would have been even more appreciated for the dogi in wet weather . We would definitely return..
