If you can tear yourself away from this beautiful base, be sure to explore the local historic town of Belper, holding a charming atmosphere at any time of year, it provides all you could need for a welcome self-catered stay, with a wide selection of shops where you can pick up any ingredients for a hearty breakfast, as well as eateries aplenty for those special occasions including pubs, restaurants and cafés to take your pick from, or pack up a picnic and take a stroll amongst the scenic River Derwent for a leisurely day with your loved ones, the beautiful Memorial Gardens and Belper Parks Local Nature Reserve being well-worth exploring too.
