  • "Had an enjoyable and relaxing 3 nights at the barn."

Everything was ideal and very warm. Great company with our next door neighbours - 3 pigs. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in Shropshire as it was ideal for a base in order to travel around and explore the county.

  • "The property was immaculate and very well cared for."

The hosts were welcoming and helpful. Every need was catered for and the dog friendly garden was the only true dog friendly area we have encountered. The cottage is ideally placed to discover all the area has to offer especially the many potteries. Local convenience store and fish and chip shop very useful. The peaceful and relaxing location would delight most people.

Everything we needed and more. Very light and spacious. Garden was an excellent size, really close to Shrewsbury and shopping areas. Really good base to explore the area. Lovely and warm. Would recommend to anyone.

  • "The Barn is a great place to stay and an excellent base to visit nearby places of interest."

We particularly loved Shrewsbury which is close by. The Barn was very clean, spacious and warm and had everything we needed. We did find the sofas & chair seating a little uncomfortable but that could just be personal preference. The beds were really comfortable and both bedrooms had great showers with plenty of hot water. The Barn could benefit with a small sound system to play music through. The enclosed well laid out garden was perfect for our dog to run around and for us to sit out. We ate our at the nearby Fox and Hound and the Mytton and Mermaid opposite Attingham Park. Both very good food and service. I would definitely recommend The Barn.

  • "I stay in at least three different cottages a year and this is a great one."

It’s got all the small things you need that are so often missing (A bread knife! A dressing gown hook! A dishwasher tablet for each night of the stay!). No tacky knick-knacks cluttering up the place and getting in your way. Gorgeous views from all three sides, spacious, quiet and secluded.

  • "We were very pleased with the barn."

It is an amazing and gorgeous place. Cannot find any fault with this place. Spotlessly clean upon arrival and so well set up with everything you need. The garden is lovely and secure if you have a dog and the view is just wonderful, whether you are sitting outside or in. The bed was so comfortable, lovely shower and the towels were fluffy and smelt gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, even washing up liquid, cloths and teatowels are provided. The sofas in the living room are very cosy and comfortable. Set down a quiet country lane it is so peaceful with just the birds singing, we had a morning visit everyday from a little robin. Well situated to explore and visit lots of different towns around the area. All in all this is perfect for a relaxing break.

  • "The property is very comfortable and well equipped."

It’s situated down a track off a quiet country lane and well positioned to visit towns and attractions in Shropshire. The owner was available if we needed assistance and came to visit towards the end of the week. There is a nice seating area in the garden which we took full advantage of having visited during a heatwave. We had a lovely holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property to others.

  • "The Barn is a beautiful renovation with plenty of space for 2 couples."

The place was very clean and fittings were modern and very swish. The south facing garden had the sun from dawn to dusk a real sun trap (we were very lucky with the weather). About 10 minutes drive from the village of Shawbury, which had a couple of shops and takeaways. Access to many beautiful areas ranging from open moors to woodland walks and National Trust venues. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and we had a fantastic time. Thank You

Being newly renovated everything was like new and the decoration was excellent. It would have been handy to have a welcome pack on arrival that included more than a pint of milk and 3 teabags however we do take onboard that the property listing didn’t mention a welcome pack.

  • "Sykes …why only 4 ticks , we have stayed at many of your cottages and The Barn far exceeds those you have given 5 ticks ."

Why is the price point so low , quality delivered by this conversion with it’s high end fittings and furnishings is simply too low . Owner … it was actually a privilege to experience the quality and luxury you provide . Whoever was your builder deserves a medal as the finish and attention to detail goes far beyond the normal in fact closer to a 5 star hotel . Honestly think Sykes need to review with you the price point as your property and its high end furnishings should command a premium . Future bookings …you will be amazed by this cottage , easily accessible to Shrewsbury yet within minutes walk from front door you can walk endless miles on country lanes. The luxury of the bedding is as good as if not better than any 5/6 star hotel we have stayed in …even lavender pouches in duvet cover . Superb enclosed garden , clever use of internal space , great wi-fi , superb underfloor heating and state of the art tv
