"A lovely cottage in a very picturesque setting in the hamlet of Little Hayfield."
The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable with a range of appliances which were easy to use. Parking was straightforward even for quite a large vehicle on a narrow lane. Little Hayfield is a great location for walking, with plenty of routes from the front door such as Kinder or Lantern Pike. The pub at the top of the road serves good beer and food, and there is a reliable bus service to Glossop and Hayfield. We had a wonderful and relaxing break and this cottage is now on our list for a return visit.

"Beautiful little cottage set in a lovely, peaceful part of the peak district."
The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. There were lovely local walks. Not far from the main road for easy connections to other areas. Would highly recommend the cottage and will definitely be returning in the future

"Our fifth visit in a year …great place to chill and walk …Hayfield is a friendly and picturesque village and a lovely short walk …cottage is cosy with great pub at top of road."
The blind in the second bedroom needs some tlc we have to leave it down. Freezer needs a defrost as drawers stick but apart from those minor issues we love the place.

"We had a great visit and we were very happy with the Property and it's location, a hidden gem, that we hope we will come back to."
The location was perfect for us.
The washer and dryer are outside the back door in the shed, we did not discover until we were leaving, but it was not a problem.
The lane outside is narrow, so those with wider vehicles will need to take care, and park considerately.

"The cottage we stayed in was simply dreamy!"
Nestled within the High Peaks countryside, vistas at every turn. The cottage itself was homely, a true representation of Peak District style and comfort. All mod-cons were available for a pleasant stress free stay. Great kitchen facilities and a Tavern 30 seconds walk up the road. Complete bliss!

"Brook Cottage is very homely and welcoming."
It sits down a quiet lane. Plenty of walks and attractions nearby to visit. The only thing i need to high light. You need to put a gate to secure dogs from coming onto Brook cottage back yard. We are pet lovers so no issue. We had a relaxing week and will certainly be coming back.

"Our second visit to this cosy homely cottage."
Good location very peaceful and friendly area ..the minor problems were ..difficult to use freezer drawers as it needed defrosting, no heat from bathroom towel rail, no lighting over dining area of kitchen .. log burner was a bonus as it was a very cold few days. The Lantern Pike Inn a great pub and restaurant at the top of the lane ((3 minutes away) Staff there and landlord were extremely friendly and attentive.

"What a pleasant place to spend the weekend."
It’s ideal for walkers and finding the fire prepared was a more than helpful touch.
The cottage is well equipped and we even taught our eight year old son to play chess from the games compendium.
The sofa under the stairs was a little weak in the seat and took some getting up from but the floor was very quirky and attractive.

Coat hooks in doorway at bottom of stairs would be be a good idea especially at this time of year.timer on boiler was a bit hit and miss but overall we loved it. Already booked another visit. Log fire was a bonus.
