The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, has been attracting visitors to the area since the Spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a host of attractions including Riber Castle, Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. To the north are the market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park - not to be missed!

Previous visitors' comments about Matlock Green:

Excellent bungalow with a lovely enclosed garden for our dog. Would definitely visit again.
Mrs Hutchinson, Boston, March 2013

We spent our 23rd wedding anniversary in this bungalow - the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. There was nothing we could find fault with. Bright, spacious, beautifully decorated and very relaxing. Lovely garden to walk around. Plenty of books, games, DVD's and videos for all ages. All age groups very well catered for. Beautiful bedding and towels. Lovely clean (non chipped) crockery and glasses. Excellent holiday accommodation and we would definitely stay again..
Mrs Baksh, Birkenhead, March 2013

This was a lovely property in a great location. We had a very enjoyable holiday. Hopefully we can book it again for next year.
Mrs Green, Accrington, October 2012

The bungalow was warm, clean, well appointed and inviting. I had a problem with the alarm and rang the owner who was very friendly and helpful. Matlock is very central to the area we wanted to explore, and a nice place in itself. First class break.
