Location: Kirriemuir

Dundee 18 miles.

Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, regarded as the gateway to the Angus Glens, which offer some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The town is home to the birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, creator of the much-loved children's character Peter Pan and the house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland. A statue of Peter Pan can be found in the town. Kirriemuir also offers an Aviation Museum, Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle, while the Angus Glens offer great hill walking and climbing. With a fine variety of shops, hotels and pubs in the town and surrounding area, there is something here to suit all tastes.

A safe, comfortable place for the dogs and the grandchildren. We loved the animals, the pool and the tranquillity.
Mr Allison, Glasgow, June 2012

Lovely cottage and used the pool every day. Our little boy loved feeding the ponies and lambs. Would go back.
Ms Head, Preston, April 2012

The underfloor heating, the swimming pool, the sauna and the grounds were lovely too. There was a resident heron in the pond, ducks and rabbits in the field, a llama and two wee ponies nearby which we fed apples and carrots too. Wonderful location, design and friendly owners.
