  • "We were happy to see that the property description and its location was accurate."

However this is the first Sykes Cottages property we have booked that did not leave any welcome refreshments upon our arrival. The issue that was a problem for us was the bed. Property owners must realise that at the very least a third of the time on a holiday is spent in bed and as such needs to be as comfortable as possible. This made our holiday a failure for us to such an extent that we actually left a day early - we could not spend another night experiencing such discomfort resulting in back pain.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay at our property. We're pleased to hear that you found the property description and its location accurate. We are truly sorry to learn about the discomfort you experienced with the bed. Your comfort is of utmost importance to us, and we regret that this aspect impacted your holiday. Please be assured that we will investigate and address the issue promptly to ensure a more comfortable stay for future guests. We appreciate your understanding and your decision to share your experience with us. It is through feedback like yours that we can continually improve our services. Warm regards, propertymgmt@1stidea.co Property Owner

  • "Knightsridge House was perfect accommodation for our stay."

It was comfortable, clean, spacious and very reasonably priced. Our only criticism would be that too much about the property was digitally provided. I don't use a smartphone and my wife's smartphone knowledge is limited. We had to get our daughter-in-law to sort out the Klevio app for access to the digital keys and we weren't able to access the QR codes on her phone for other information. A simple printed sheet in the property with details such as wi-fi code and other important information would have been very useful for digitally challenged people like us.

  • "The two bedroom apartments were great, rooms are are big, beds are comfortable, wardrobes are large."

Kitchen have everything we needed, including a dish washer, washing machine, electric cooker, big fridge. Living room is pretty and compact, had good WIFI. Bathroom is clean and nice. The building is situated next to a quiet golf course, ideal for walking, car park is plenty. It was our first time to Livingston, had everything nearby from supermarkets to a very nice shopping factory outlet. Endinburgh itself was a good 25 minutes drive during off peak time. When we first got there, we just phoned the owner and the front door was opened remotely where we then went in to get the key for the apartment. Couldn't really complain about anything, will definitely use the apartment again if we went back to Livingston or Edinburgh.
