  • "We were very happy with the Granary property overall, It was very clean and well equipped, Everything was as advertised."

It was in a lovely location and easy to get to interesting places to visit. Our only issue was the size of the bed, It was a double bed as stated but seemed really small to us as we normally sleep in a super king size bed, The bed was comfortable but people who usually sleep in a bigger bed like us also may have the same difficulty as us, The owner of the property who lives adjacent was very friendly and helpful

We were lucky enough to be there at Easter during lambing season were surrounded by lambs and their nursing ewes. The farm is very dog friendly with plenty of hills around to walk up. We'll definitely be making an effort to return there.

Same goes for the bathroom. A very peaceful location with plenty of land/paths to walk the dogs that we had with us. Had a minor problem with the TV upon arrival, But after calling the owner Frank, it was very quickly put right. No problems after that, but Frank was only a phone call away if we needed anything. A lovely well maintained cottage, would highly recommend it.

Now that there's a walk-in shower and two handrails to reach the front door, I can manage very well. We had a lovely time, and the views of hills and birds through every window are uplifting. We'll certainly go back.

Though good quality furniture. Very hard mattress. Need a table and chairs outside. But overall great place to stay. So peaceful and quiet. Beautiful scenery. Added bonus of so much wildlife especially birds which was fantastic to see and hear. Lottie is a surprise and delight. As were the horses and wandering sheep. Its a little piece of heaven. The surrounding area, towns and villages are stunning. Highly recommend Clun, Ironbridge, Ludlow, leintwardine and little Stretton. Some fantastic cafes and bars in all of these places. They all work so hard on the farm. Frank and his family were lovely and so helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and good to come back to after a good walk and visits to the many things to do in South Shropshire. We enjoyed staying on a working farm and chatting to the friendly owners who gave us very helpful information about the local area. The Granary is set in a peaceful and beautiful location, yet many interesting places like Ludlow and Stokesay Castle are very near. We usually prefer to explore new pastures when we go on holiday but we would definitely consider returning as we had such a good time and there is still so much we didn’t have time to fit in!

Really beautiful county and the holiday stay at the Granary was so lovely. Frank was really great, he even came to find us when we got lost arriving. The Granary was lovely, everything on one level and the surrounding country side was lovely and quiet. Just what we needed to get away from the rush of every day life. The dogs just loved it. Unlike other farms they were able to run in the fields ( away from sheep of course). Also having Frank's dogs to visit for evening biscuits was great. To sum up, it's the first holiday we have had where we did not want to go home. In fact, it was LOVELY!

  • "Very friendly neighbours in the farmhouse - especially the dogs!"

Gorgeous location on a working farm and the cottage was spacious and comfortable. The directions to the farm were good. We suspect the lack of loo paper on our arrival was an oversight. A couple of teabags would have been nice too. We failed to notice that there is a fridge but no freezer in the description. The dishwasher didn't seem to want to work, but washing up for only 2 was not a problem - once we'd bought more washing - up liquid, and a dish cloth etc. Excellent local supermarket in very nearby Craven Arms. The heating in the house was excellent, and we were able to dry our washing in the spacious airing cupboard ( the dryer with the washing machine did not seem to be effective) For the price, lack of things like loo roll, adequate washing-up liquid etc is not unreasonable. I suppose it's just that we've come to expect it in previous similar holiday cottages we've stayed in, and when you are only away for a week or less then you don't really want to have to buy or bring those sort of things with you; it just feels a bit stingy and unwelcoming on the part of the owners, which is a pity as they were very warm people. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra to be sure basic things like this are provided.
