  • "My husband, 2 dogs and I had a lovely stay at peace cottage."

    It’s in the name, peaceful stay bird watching from the window, lovely walk around the garden, wonderful times in the garden sun house praying and retreating. The house is well equipped and comfortable, it has a great selection of games and puzzles for internet free/phone free family time! It’s in a great position for getting to some lovely places, we really enjoyed Quince honey farm, South Molton Markets and some national trust places. Mark and Cath are beautiful people and generous host's and we would definitely return. For those with dogs, garden not enclosed and for safety kept ours on long lines as couldn’t trust them to not run onto farmers field. Great space for sniffing though, they loved it!

  • "Excellent property clean everything you needed there."

    Cath and Mark very welcoming and accomodating. Very quiet location and dark sky area give us an excellent night's sleep. Abit difficulty with Internet access but ok. If unsteady on feet take shower mat as water very soft. Would highly recommend and would stay there again.

  • "We absolutely Loved the cottage, Arrived to be greeted with bread milk eggs and orange juice, and also treats for our dogs."

    The cottage was clean warm and welcoming and fully equipped with everything you needed .I did think i might of struggled with the fridge being small but actually managed very well. Mark and Cathy were absolutely lovely very helpful and friendly. If you want a cottage in that area then this is 100% the place to stay. I will be returning very soon.

  • "Beautiful quiet cosy cottage tucked away in deep Devon countryside."

    Spotlessly clean and so warm and comfortable. Mark & Cath were superb hosts, leaving us a lovely welcome pack & treats for the puppy! for our arrival. We had a gorgeous lush quiet field to run the pup and my girls used the wonderful art cabin. Such an amazing addition to a fantastic week. We loved Peace Cottage. It was perfect in so many ways. South Molton is a lovely market town- well worth a visit- Very pretty. Thank you Mark & Cath x truly x we’ll be back ❤️

  • "We had a fabulous stay at Peace Cottage."

    Supremely clean and incredibly comfortable with super-lovely hosts who had made sure we felt extremely welcome with fresh milk, bread, fresh orange, biscuits and lovely doggy treats. The outside space is stunning with a great walking field for your pooches and lovely table and chairs to eat 'al-fresco'. The property is lovely and warm with central heating and plenty of towels and lovely fresh linen. The property is very handy for South Molton and we visited Quince's Honey Farm more than once for their lovely all day breakfasts. We would definitely recommend Peace Cottage 100%. We will be returning very soon.

    ..lovely peaceful location...cottage is well equipped with comfy bed...what more could you ask for...the owner introduced himself on arrival and told us he would be there if we needed any further assistance...the bread ,milk, eggs juice and biscuits were welcome...all round...10/10

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Peace Cottage."

    Marc and Cath were really keen to welcome us and were extremely friendly and genuine, with nothing being too much trouble. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable and in an excellent location for touring North Devon villages and the countryside within Exmoor National Park. Wish we had longer as the week flew by so quickly. We hope to return at some point in the future. Many Thanks.

  • "We had a lovely few days in Peace Cottage."

    The owners Cath and Mark were great hosts and made us very welcome. The cottage was as described i.e. very peaceful - with local amenities a very short drive away. Facilities inside were great and we had all we needed - including a very indulgent 'welcome pack' with home-made scones (an unexpected bonus that went down really well). The weather sadly let us down, but the cottage was so cosy and well stocked it didn't really matter. Thank you for a lovely few days!

  • "Lovely property, clean and well equipt."

    Cath & Mark popped down to see us when we 1st arrived, let us know what to do if there was a problem (there wasn't) but then left us in peace. The welcome of freshly made scones was heavenly. Definitely lived up to it's name and we're already talking about booking again for next year. 10/10

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Peace cottage, me my partner, his dad and our dog."

    The owners are so kind and lovely, the welcome package was very special and enjoyed very much. The cottage is definitely peaceful and so much land to have a lovely outdoor walk with the dog. The cottage is beautiful and very spacious. The cottage has all the amenities you could want/need. The only negative we had was the main double bed, it was very creaky and loud just to move about on it. Also we was unsure if the mattress or bed base needs changing as it was stiff (or we ate too many scones lol) but other than that, we had a excellent stay. The owners could of not been nicer and they are so willing to help out with anything. We definitely want to come back!! We did not want to come home. Even our dog tried refusing to leave!

SOUTH MOLTON

The attractive market town of South Molton is known as The Gateway to Exmoor and is ideally placed in North Devon, boasting a range of shops, amenities and the award-winning Pannier market, that runs twice weekly.. Being pleasantly situated not far from both coastal and inland beauty spots it will suit visitors of all tastes. In close proximity are forests, moors, rivers and coast, with churches and other buildings of historical significance. Residents find the quiet charm of the area attractive and visitors soon experience the sense of civic pride held by the locals. There is superb walking on the South West Coast Path and the North Devon beaches are varied and interesting. Visit the National Trust's Watersmeet Gorge, Valley of the Rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Up on Exmoor, there are various walks to suit all abilities, as well as highlights such as Tarr Steps, Landacre Bridge and the village of Withypool. Further afield, the resorts of Ilfracombe and Combe Martin are well worth a visit, and for some of the best beaches in the country, visit Woolacombe and Saunton and Croyde.
